Yeah I'm expecting a Germany-Holland final...repeat of the 1974 final.

Robben will probably tear the Argie defence a brand new one. The Argie central midfield is every bit as poor as Brazil so I expect the Dutch to run through them at will. Argies made a mistake by not taking Juan Roman Riquelme who is still a world class operator in midfield, dictates play, and would have provided the passes to Messi to do the damage in attack. The current midfield provides Messi with very little which starves him of possession. I can see a comfortable win for the Dutch.

Dutch game plan? Kick 7 shades of ... out of Messi. As proven by the Iran, Bosnia and pretty much every game so far if he's kept quiet Argentina have been poor.

Man, the Netherlands are getting closer and the prospect of them actually possibly winning one gets me excited. They really deserve a ***le. Just like the French in rugby maybe not the current team as such here and now but the nation as a whole over the years; the best team NOT to have gotten the ***le yet.

like, how excited are we talkin' here ? And although I have 1/4 German blood in me (somewhere in there...), I wouldn't mind seeing the Hollanders win it. They've looked real good this year, and did have anal sex with Spain in the first round which in my book, is a very, very positive thing to do. Very positive.
Maybe Germany produced their best already and will come into the final lacking some of the fire they'll have already thrown at Brazil (because, let's be honest, Brazil is almost literally a burnt victim atm).
I haven't seen Holland or Argentina recently, but from what I've seen overall this year, Holland can't miss out on this. They should take it about 3-1 tonight I reckon.

I've got to say I'm pretty disgusted now about France. I thought they outplayed Germany the whole match but just couldn't capitalize. They would've beaten Brazil next, and perhaps lost to Holland in the final, but who knows. They really, really had an outright, legit chance this year, and it's not just lyrical remorse. This is real. Oh well, too bad. I guess we'll just have to win the RWC next year, by losing 4 matches but somehow progressing to the final and winning it.

It's going to be interesting to see how Argentina will be able to cope with Germany's midfield. Their strength there is unmatched really, not forgetting they don't have Marco Reus either.

for sure. Germany has had sweet and rough sex with Brazil's defense and goal keeper while neither Argentina nor Holland have looked all that dangerous all match long. Argentina will be spent and they're just too raw for Germany, although they do have very good talent individually and lots of speed. Germany will look to methodically dismantle Arg, and Arg will look to react off Germany's play and score off counters and broken play. Argentina's defense though was surprising tonight, and they looked a lot more crisp with their combinations too.
Germany should win this though.

Netherlands will not win a tournament for a long time. That was best chance as most of their star players are passing their peaks

I do think Germany will win, but as for the semi-final I don't think it was overly surprising. Yes, the scoreline was, but a lot of people did expect a dismantling of Brazil - they haven't even played that well against very average teams. I'd say Argentina will have come out the better of the semi finals, regardless of the extra day - I think they'll be more match fit with Germany probably taking little to nothing out of their encounter with Brazil.

Germans are definitely gonna go in as favourites, but Joachim Low has a big task making sure they stay grounded. Probably correct in saying that they'll try to methodically break Argentina down, but doubt they will hold back. Best stuff they've played has been on the counter!

I'm a bit torn about this final. It's between me and heineken for the TRF World Cup ***le but my girlfriend is German, just finished a degree in German and probably moving out there sometime soon... They were my pre tournament pick too.

Argentina would never want the Falklands back, or the government would lose their last resort talking point when they need support.

Missed the game,but sounds like it was a poor one. If only we could have had three consecutive all European finals.
