Transfers rumours

Remember, Cardiff took Mustoe from us in the first place. I'd like him back. He is a good club player who never plays less than 100%. Not the fastest, but you know if you pick him he will play.

Anyone able to shine a bit of light on Henson/Burnell? From what I gather, Henson has worked hard in training for Wales and Cardiff and Gatland has had no complaints.
1. They didn't take Mustoe from you. He was on loan at the Dragons for a season before the Blues signed him from us.
2. What's that all about? Do they not get on? I read an article this week where Burnell was weighing up centre options at the Blues following the Laulala news and he mentioned every single centre at the club - even Owen Williams I think - but no Henson. Got me thinking they'd be discarding him at the end of the season...

According to ESPN, Sale have been in contact with Danny Cipriani. London Irish also interested. Have fun Sharks' fans

here is the Burnell quote on the Blues centres

We have also got to ensure when we lose one player [Like Laulala] we have to make sure that [someone like] Corey Allen, who was very good up in north Wales [with the Wales Under-20s]. He has to be fast-tracked. But let's not forget we have got Gavin Evans, Dafydd Hewitt and Jamie Roberts in the centre position.

no mention on Henson ...

by the way, I don't think Cipriani is the right fit for Sale, Diamond seems to be trying to build a team spirit of hard working players, I don't think he would appreciate a party-er like Cipriani

also I wouldn't have thought he would have liked to play for Premiership team with the reputation for the worst condition pitch, although it had improved when I saw it against Brive

They put down a completely new pitch over the off season and it's, apparently, the best in the Prem now (so say sky/ESPN anyhow).

I'd be very surprised if he came to Sale (my money would be on a return to Wasps, like Haskell/Palmer) however if he did come to Sale I'd be very happy.

1. Yeah, I realise that. We got Brew off them so it worked out. ;)

He won´t get any game time. He´s a poor player. Biarritz would be better served with Lucas Duque.

I agree, but have you seen Baby and Peyrelongue at 10 this season? both have been disasters

I would have thought Biarritz would be aiming a bit higher than berquist though

Both were not up to standard. I think that maybe Berquist has been approached to be in the squad when Bosch will be missing due to The Rugby Championship. Biarritz will also be in the Amlin Challenge Cup next year rather than the Heineken Cup and, as such, will be happy to field second-string sides for these matches.

(They won´t be relegated to the Pro d2).

Interestingly Traille is flyhalf in the game that just started vs Perpignan. Allez Biarritz!

Rush just said on BBC now that he has another year on contract and intends to see that out.

According to this article Sale and Wasps want Scott Lawson

whilst the SRU want to bring back both the Lawson's to Scotland, but they both have offers in France

when an article is so vague about which teams are interested, it's normally false

Aye, was going to say that:
Sale already have Marc Jones and Joe Ward with Tommy Taylor coming through.
Wasps could be after him as a replacement for Rob Webber though.

That's one match and thank God I didn't see it. In the pre-season games and early Rabo matches he was playing well. Better for us in the long term that he got injured though good for Madigan's development.

Interesting one doing the rounds is Luke Fitz's contract is up and possibly won't get IRFU squad and could go to France

no sane person would choose to leave the best European team Leinster at the moment, unless he joins the two best French teams (Toulouse/Clermont) then this would be a poor move for him

The way I look at it,hypothetically if somebody is offering you €200000 to do a job in one place or €300000 to do the same job somewhere else, what would you choose? I wouldn't begrudge Fitzgerald a big pay day.
