TRP is saying that Munster have won the race for Mike Haley and the IRFU are interested in him.

Also elsewhere in the paper Pieter de Villiers is wanting to get Dave Ewers to play for Zim.

Surely Ewers will stay EQP, if only for the money.

Ugh. For my money we have three better fullbacks and two guys who could move there and be better, Munster and Ireland would be better off trusting Conway and promoting Wooton.

Maybe but I will say haley is extremely talented if he was at a top 4 club IMO he would be capped by England.

Parker, Haley and who else?
Parker will never be more than a squad player for us even during international periods I would say. Have no idea on Haley being honest. We have stacks of back three talent, but 15s specifically not so much. We could easily convert a younger guy with height and footballing skills like Sweetnam to the position, so not sure about the Haley signing, beyond the IRFU deciding it for us.

TBF neither him nor Parker were the required standard. Parker could have been down the line (hard to make a judgement on a teenage prop) but Mitchell didn't look cut out for top level rugby whenever given a shot.

Ciaran is still 2 years off Pro14 standard. A lovely lad though and works hard. He has the right attitude
