Transfers rumours

That'd be an unreal signing for wasps
Be hilarious if cipriani moved on considering all the #OnceAWaspAlwaysAWasp nonsense when he went back there

I'm not sure where he would go... do Sale need him? I thought O'Connor/McGinty was going well up north?

I'm sure a French team would be licking their lips over him... Montpellier only have Cruden as a true fly half, Clermont could use one, La Rochelle would fit his style, Toulon like a stylish attacking fly half and I'm sure Castres and Racing wouldn't say no.

As in Prem? I can't imagine anyone really going for him

We need competition for Ford and full back options so would be wise to at least enquire. But we don't do sensible decisions at the moment.

Limerick Leader reporting that Munster are in the hunt for Cordero as a Zebo replacement. Leicester about to take a big fat L off us for the third time this year. Honestly though, he'd be a good guy to have around for a year maybe, but I don't see him staying here long term. I also don't see him actually signing for us, so there's that. Limerick Leader bounces around in terms of reliability for these rumors to be honest.

cant produce your own players anymore it seems... ;)

Yes that's true you do need a quality fly half who will always be around (cheers Eddy ;)) and someone to run your multi talented back line... he wouldn't have to move.... I imagine . But your right with the slide from world class pack to world class backline as mentioned by Goodey on the podcast.

But knowing Leicester and decisions at the moment, you will sign someone whose International quality but never available ... bit like Biggar at Saints (amazing but not always going to be around)

Apparently we've been in talks with him for a while and he was up here over Christmas
JOC likely to play more at 13 or 15, going forward
Also Macginty is out of contract this season and there's been no announcement of him signing on yet

Yeah suppose that makes sense... maybe there was a #butalsoashark in the fine print of the tweet? haha

so the backlines looking fairly tasty if that goes through?

De Klerk, Cips, Sam James, O'Connor, Yarde, Solomona, McGuigan sounds rather tasty.

especially with Odogwu, Haley, Jennings, McGinty, Leota and Addison floating about too

Forwards (well, back five's) win games though, don't we just know that

@TRF_Olyy how is Sam James doing BTW? Was hoping he would be in england contention by now but seems to have dropped off the radar since that Baabaa game.
Not as good this season as last, tbh
Chopping and changing between 10 and 13 hasn't helped, And that's going to continue with AJ blowing his knee out on the weekend.
Not been bad by a long shot, but pretty average whereas before he looked to have the potential to be a special player.
I'm still holding out hope, And that this is just a sour patch/being overshadowed by Rohan

He's not even on the radar

Also seem Leinster may be offloading JGP as they look for a scrum half replacement after their front office made an interesting F up in forgetting 1 of most basic rules

As I understood it, Sopoaga was being looked at because Cipriani wasn't committing to staying rather than the other way around. So if he's being signed I wonder whether that's because Cipriani has made up his mind.
So from my reading of it some media outlets are bit out on their reasoning.
At the end of the day, I don't think Dai would trade Cipriani for anyone (well, very few players). That's not to say Cipriani is the best fly-half in the world, of course he's not, but rather he fits Wasps perfectly and our attacking game is built around him. I don't believe Dai would do something which would alienate Cipriani unless it came from Cips first.

In terms of where he might move to, I definitely don't buy into the 'Once A Wasp...' dictum but I imagine he'd be looking for a big contract abroad. I know he wanted to see where he was in Eddie Jones' plans but I think now he has that answer he has little reason to stay in the UK. He's 30 now, so he's on a bit of a clock.

Very right, that's why ill be amazed if Leicester go and get a big time fly half like Cips when Ford is there.

In reality Leicester need to go out and get 3 or 4 top forwards and a wiley old fly half who wont always be away with a country.

Lawes, Mafi, Thompson and Ewers will do, but im dreaming.

As for the fly half option I like Hardwick whos coming through and deserves game time ahead of Joe Ford in my opinion.
