Transfers rumours

So much for sharing the talent between the provinces if that one is true.

Seems Leinster offered 2 year contract worth €90K and Wasps a 3 year £160K.
No other province can outbid Leinster and I think Leinster are well equipped with Furlong the better player in my eyes.

If Nusifora can not make an accommodation for a young potentially very good TH then his position is that of an empty suit.

More than double his current salary and an extra year? Can't blame him for taking that deal. Shame but if Tadhg Furlong and Mike Ross are still contracted, it's not insurmountable. It really requires one of Jeremy Loughman, Oisín Heffernan or Michael Bent to step up though. I presume Mike Ross is lined up for the scrum coach job in a couple of years time.

Fully agree and it might be the making of him. He's had injury issues and I think Furlong was going to be ahead of him soon too. It's a short career but as Peat says it does make you ask what Nucifora is achieving.

Bad business by Leinster. (I think I saw an article confirming it, just skimming though) We've gone from being pretty stacked at TH to having little cover at all. Ross hasn't got long left and the academy boys are still a couple years out imo.

It's not confirmed.

Yeah we're fairly screwed if he leaves. Ross is on his last legs - probably gone by the end of the year. Furlong will be away with Ireland so he'll miss many games over the next few years for Leinster. The most promising Leinster prop coming through is Andrew Porter, who unfortunately is a loose head. Loughman got dismantled last year. Unless we buy Conan O'Donnell off Connacht, we will have to look at our options abroad

Cronin linked to AP.

If true I reckon Cockerill has had a word with him after the CC games.

Strong rumours that he's fed up in his current situation and the RWC incident didn't help either. But Tigs I've heard it could be to London. Hope he stays though as we need him.

Just got off phone from a man in the know. Cronin is flirting with going but chances are it's a negotiating ploy. Unlikely he will go. Earls and Murray have 99% agreed their new deals. Zebo is looking like he may be staying too.

Treadwell, a guy who can't seem to decide if he's English or Irish. Should fit in just fine in Ulster. Wouldn't mind Reid at Munster at all now. Can't imagine he's being courted by a big team.
