Transfers rumours

Bit of an odd move, that. Tigers gave him his first real chance at rugby, and he's been getting decent game time - with Tait off this would only increase too.
Unless Cardiff offered more money that Tigers? Or Tigers didn't want him because he's an international?

Maybe he will get more chance to go to America during the season with Cardiff than at tigers?

Isa Nacewa

retirement --> Leinster

One year deal being strongly rumoured as cover for the WC next season. Would be fantastic if he's still in shape.

The thing that makes this rumour so strong to me is the Kirchner was speaking about it as if it was a done deal.

Would it be more a 3 month deal to cover the RWC and probably allow Leinster use NIQ slot. Will he still have magic? I loved watching him play and well as good as Rocky Elsom and Contepomi were he's been the best NIQ buy ye have ever had.

Agreed.
Mr Nacewa always oozed class and was a personification of the style of play Leinster aspired to play.

Nacewa retired due to a long standing arm injury. If that's healed up well (and you'd imagine it has if he's willing to come back) his body should be in pretty good shape. He's a smart and skillful player as opposed to one dependent on raw athleticism so he should be okay. He also doesn't have the mileage a 33 year old player would usually have.

Leinster are going to lose an awful lot of guys to the World Cup, so his experience around the camp will be invaluable.

At LN7 fully agreed can't remember ever being disappointed at watching him. But prefer him at 15 to wing.
Feic was his family an issue too. As in his wife wanted to return to NZ

Yeah, she didn't settle particularly well if I remember. He also wanted his kids to go to school in NZ. Neither should be much of an issue for a short term contract.

Yes every single time.
With Kearney in the mix I'd carry him on the bench as back three cover. But I'd assume he'll do most of his playing come WC when the boys are away.
That said a good run of form and you'll see him ritually pulled onto the Hcup squad.

Thing is he may be gone by time HEC starts if it short term. But Leinster would benefit having him there coaching even. His knowledge alone is brilliant.

Cockerill to France doing the rounds.

Well apparently whispers have been trickling out of Welford road, Someone heard something from lasts night fans forum usual stuff. His son was born in France and he has close ties over there, Although he is and always will be Leicester through and thorugh.

Mauger demands for coming over are to have full control of recruitment and to also have full control over training, Tactics and selection.

Cockerill will be handling Forwards still but in general be handling the back room stiff.

So people reckon he might not like that.

IMO Leicester would have to be the ones to kick cockers if they wanted him out.

Don't think it is the case here just another rumour.
