Transfers rumours

Pretty strong rumours saying that Tomás O'Leary is coming back to Munster as World Cup cover.
Could we not sign someone who's actually decent?

Dai Young has said "We are very close to being able to announce a new signing on the wing, which I believe will excite Wasps and Aviva Premiership rugby fans."

Interesting, and exciting - a signing to excite the league sounds big.

Also, apparently Ed Jackson is talking to the Dragons about a possible switch

Not really to be honest.

All we know is it'll be someone from outside the premiership. Cory Jane has been suggested but seems unlikely to me.

More than just the RWC and he's good enough for cover. As 1 other 9 is rumoured to be on way to UK

Said 9 being Cathal Sheridan. I'm sure O'Leary can do the job, but I'd be suprised that there's no one more capable in our academy or A team at the moment.

Yes. and it's not that there's none more capable. It's a RWC year and in case of emergency TOL can kick at goal, play wing centre and 10. Is experienced and Irish qualified. Not at a high expense it's smart business when your missing guys. Also he's experienced and whether guys rate him or not here he has won a pro12 and hec so he can offer something.

Dependent on pricing he could be a great signing. Heineken Cup and grand slam winner who'll offer a lot of experience and leadership for the younger guys in the Munster squad, particularly the back line and particularly during international windows. O'Leary has his weaknesses absolutely, but he's certainly capable of being a good Pro12 standard scrummie.

We are looking at about â'¬50-55k for year. And Feic that is exactly what I'm trying to say. It's not as if we are signing him to save the club more an experienced head around youngsters when internationals aren't around. And they won't be around much next season.

Probably a SH player... Piutau, Hendricks, Ioane.... Savea!?

Might be controversial but most of us at wasps wouldn't see Cuthbert as an upgrade on Varndell, who remains, just about the best finisher in the premiership despite a men season (still has 6 tries mind).

Wing combination of Cuthbert and Wade would probably be the worst in the world defensively, but imagine how many tries they'd score given the right platform.
