Transfers rumours

Agreed. His defence is poor and he doesn't like playing to a D system. He's not had a good start to the season either, but I also partly blame this on the poor selection policy and attack coaching at the moment. I'd like to see him in a settled Blues back line, where everyone knows their roles and play to some sort of pattern.

Rene Ranger potentially coming back to NZ... I really hope this happens. He is an awesome player and I'd have him straight into the AB's

It would be very interesting if he did come back. With the return of Gear and SBW (and possibly Kahui?) there is a decent stock-pile of centres/wings so there would be no guarantee he would even make the ABs if he returned. Obviously returning to New Zealand would not be solely about making the ABs again though.

You would think he would be ahead of Gear in the pecking order (sorry NickD_NZ), and given a season of Super could easily replace Jane who seems to be on the decline.. Kahui will break something and then Ranger will be our bench impact centre/wing. Imagine him and Savea on the wings with Smith at fullback - everyone would be scared to kick to us surely.. Sadly the weird love affair with Dagg won't let that happen.

Just noticed that it was Lou Reed.... HA! Should give one of our good (or at least better than Reed) second rows more of a chance!

Bloody hope this will rule him out of any Wales squad involvement, what with Garland's law possibly coming into play

Johnny Wilkinson rumoured to be signing on a pay per play for Darlington Mowden Park.

That'd be crazy - he could be in the Premiership in two seasons if all goes well

Little surprised to see him move back to the North East - would've expected him to either stay in Toulon or move down South, where his family's from. I guess he grew fond of the area in the his time up there with Falcons!

Really interested to see what he goes on to do over the next few years. I know he's got his clothing business on the go, but be interesting to see whether he goes into coaching. Having read his autobiography I'm not sure whether he'd want to be that close to rugby, without actually being able to influence what's going on on the pitch directly in the game.

Thought he was moving into coaching with Toloun?

I thought he'd been very specific in that he wants to be a kicking coach.

S.Armitage to Bath, Sarries, Wasps and Quins on loan. RFU desperate for him to be in the RWC.

TBH I smell BS, they should back Robshaw, Kvesic, Fraser.

That's pretty much as close as you'll get to confirmation of Genia to Bath.

With Cook playing aswell as he is ATM and Genia out off form maybe bath should have looked for another Marquee player.

Will be interesting to see how well he plays in the context of an AP side!

I wouldn't want him at Bath TBH - we've already got enough backrowers, and I would take Flouw over him.
I can't see Lancaster being short-termist with him either, unless Armitage categorically states that he will stay in England for the long-haul (not just for the RWC) I don't think Stuart would use him.

Bruce Craig was a SH when he played - he's clearly indulging himself with Genia.

Wonder if the Ai's may have a affect on it, losing 3 out of 4 by a fair margin and Lancaster could feel the heat a bit from the press again. Mind you would Toulon loan him to a potential CC rival or would there be a clause saying he can't play in the CC.

Yeh all the teams linked with him have 7's atm.

Haskell has said he prefers 7, robshaw is ATM the English 7, Bath have Louw, Sarries have Fraser.

Mind you what is Bath main area of weakness.

Maybe should of tried to make Reed the highest paid player.

If you mean Read I think that Houston is a great 8. With Sam Burgess coming as well.
