Transfers rumours

I read somewhere....but cannot find out where.....that he was gong somewhere like Narbonne or Perpignan?

So Mitchell, Habana, Armitage back three; not bad at all.
The Top14 is increasing becoming a Barbarians league.

Jake Heenan, a flanker who was under 20's captain of New Zealand was strongly rumored to be coming to Connacht. Not sure how accurate it is, but he would be a good long term signing for us. Obviously he has a pedigree if he's captained the baby blacks, but does anyone more familar with New Zealand rugby have any more info on him?

McCALLISTER ahead of Fickou OR Fofana................what has he promised you? Whatever it is, it is not worth it...and neither is he, not this season!!

McAlister has the tools to be one of the best about. Brilliant playmaker and one of the best in the league there, and also for a fly half is argaubly the toughest tackling fly half around. Kicking can be an issue at times, but Draggs has Parra and Wilkinson in his team as well so ...

And even goal kicking he has had his moment such as this 60 metre winner vs Racing last season ...

But McAlister is certainly a quality player, kind of in the Gavin Henson style of player in a way when on form. I'm sorry you fail to see and appreciate his quality. Easily better than Fickou.

McAlister is my ideal inside centre-type along with Henson. Has many of the skills of standoff, but physical enough to make and take hits. Not afraid to run it on if needed. Carter-McAlister could have been a fantastic pairing if allowed to develop (much like Hook-Henson) but the instant gratification of crashball Nonu breaking the gainline (see Roberts) trumped him.

My ideal backline would have Phillips, 2008 Hook, Henson/McAlister in it.

Solely on form this year......McCallister has not been worth a starting place but I do agree that he has been a super player (as has Henson as you both rightly point out but not at the moment) and it is not too late for him to come again next season but I do feel that he needs to move to do it.......do not get me wrong, I would have him in any position in the back line of Biarritz apart from Zee's and we have yach to do the booting!!

Actually Carter-McAlister did get a lot of game time prior to the 07 World Cup. It was a 50/50 call between Mauger and McAlister starting. And then McAlister left, so it wasn't really given any time to develop further, sadly.

Mauger as well, another Draggs approved second five.
Shame Luke left, for Sale as well!

No truth here. It'd be a waste of NIQ spot as we are well stocked on wings but no truth
I like Vainakolo, and I think we could do with some back up. We seem to have some fragile wings, and I assume Douggie is off soon. Any rumors on some Munster signings muffin?

Nothing to do with Vanikolo only it'd be waste of NIQ spot. We are well stocked on wings with Earls Zebo Hurley O'Dea Conway young O'Mahony and Howlett will be hoping for another year. We are looking for another centre to challenge 2 lads who had fine end to season. As is evident in team tomorrow Keatley is probably going to be more used as a 12 next year to as JJ comes in to it and if ROG goes we will be looking to fill his slot with big name. Wian is possibly going to be off to so we will evaluate prop situation too although loose head prop isn't big issue for us
