How important was Wilkinson for Toulon in getting some of the other players in?

There is that draw of being able to play with Carter and earn a nice pay packet that may draw some players in from other countries.

Also probably hoping his ethic will rub off on the other players much like Wilkinson did at Toulon.

I not certain it will be value for money, but his status will certainly help in attracting other SH stars to RM as opposed to say Toulon.

Ma'afu is a solid prop. Tackles a lot, pretty good in the loose and a solid scrummager. He is however replaceable.

I actually don't rate him as a signing. He is a very talented player but I don't think he fits well into the Bath mould, I think they look most dangerous when Cook or Stringer gets it in Ford's hands, Matawalu will just want to run.
