Transfers 2015/16

Banahan

Edit I forgot Bananaman technically joined the bath academy from Irish's

He wasn't really a part of their academy properly afaik, he played one or two games for them at lock.
Then he moved to Bath and he was turned into a winger.

Surely Irish have one of the best academies in the league we just can't keep hold of players. Also got another good batch coming through the rate Fowlie higher than JJ. Anyway we have signed Tom Cruse from Rotheram at Hooker looks like a good addition.

Not saying that but how many academy players have gone on to be actual better than what they were at Leicester?

Ford, TT, Lewington, Purdy?

Neither where better than the players ahead of them at the time, Ford and Teelvetrees where getting game time but of the bench.

The fact is Leicester academy has had a poor standard of academy for a bit.

This class coming up has been our best since the days of Cole, etc

I don't think academy players should get game time for the hell of it, they have to earn it IMO no the less.

With Lewington you also gave us Scott Steele who also has been very impressive.

Don't think i can remember a time where Leicester has had so many changes.

Salvi (pretty much off) ---> O'Connor (Blues)
Parling (Exeter) --> Fitzgerald (Chiefs)
Barbieri (Treviso) -> Fonua (Wesh)

Gibson (Saints) --> Macaffry (Welsh)
Scully (Cardiff)
Hamilton (Coventry)
Tait (Bayonne)
Pohe (France)

Likely off
Mele
Hepetema

Likely in
Betham

ATM we could do with a 15, 12 and maybe a 6/7.

Pat Howard WP Stormers >>>>> Northampton:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/32300835

(didn't see it elsewhere)

I've read about it on the WPRU home pages.

I'm sad to see Howard move off as I do rate him as a good potential center but he is up against stiff competition with us having 3 Bok centers on the books in JdV, JdJ and DdA. I was hoping he'd stick around a year longer as I can see him move up into the first team after the RWC as I see JdV move off (even retire?) and JdJ not long thereafter following a pay increase up in Europe.

I saw the headline, didn't have time to read. What's his story? A classic 7s speed merchant?

Could do with some quality. So far that reads fairly poorly for a club of Leicester's stature.

(edit - not to call it bad either, it's just not great/scary)

Cockers has stated we are looking at spending 500k on a player which is the first time he has gone on record as looking to spend big.

Just that he won't spend big for the sake of spending big it needs to be a player that will fit.

Team ATM next season fully fit looks like this:

1) Ayerza, 2) Youngs, 3) Cole
4) Slater, 5) Kitchener
6) Croft, 7) O'Connor, 8) Fonua
9) Youngs, 10) Burns
12) Allen, 13) Manu
11) Betham, 14) Goneva, 15) Morris

16) Ghilrandini, 17) Mulipola, 18) Balmain, 19) Fitzgerald, 20) Pearce, 21) Harrison, 22) Williams 23) Thompstone

I would be happy with that TBH, just for Europe especially we need a bit of something at 12,15 and maybe 6/7.
