Transfers 2014/15

He's probably finished though I'm afraid. With his pre-season completely destroyed through this Welsh civil war, may not even make 2015 at all.

Still way too early to tell, I'm not convinced on his fitness throughout most of last season. Just gotta hope he can sort himself out after a mucked up pre season/ the Blues ease him in gently. Not like they haven't got Craig Mitchell now too, who must be a bit peeved now that Adam has signed too :lol:
Still brilliant from a Blues perspective, gone from having to have Scott Andrews or reject Frenchies like Borrust as our starting tighthead to having Adam Jones and Craig Mitchell battling it out.

Also, 2009 Lions front row UNITE :D

Warburton also seen in the Blues squad photo. Looks like we know who broke ranks first.

Think he was always still technically in the squad, despite being a WRU contracted player. The Blues cited it was mostly legal/insurance reasons that they couldn't play him against Exeter, as they simply don't have any of that sorted without the agreement.

The regions do not have an agreement to play centrally contracted players. He cannot play for the the Blues at this time.

Brookes' early Saxons cap possibly had more to do with him being eligible for Ireland than his actual talent levels tbh. He's really kicking on though, Newcastle had a cracking pair there in him and Scott Wilson. They really know how to breed tightheads there it seems.

As for Molenaar - he's definitely good enough at this level, he's proved it all, but there's a difference between being a cog in a skilled machine and being asked to be one of the star players. LI have a far stronger looking pack than LW.

That's the point I was making, but he's still technically assigned to the Blues from what the reports have said, just no agreement means no insurance or anything, big part of why they can't play him.

aaaah, Adam Jones to the Cardiff Blues. Really thought Lyon were within a shot of getting him, would've loved to have him in the Top 14...

the Brad Thorn news was out yesterday ?...strange, somehow just learned about it right now, from the Tigers Facebook fanpage.

"He is 39 years old but he is in very good shape and is known in the game for his fitness levels and his attitude towards playing and training. We look forward to his arrival and seeing him work with the squad here. He will arrive in the next month and be available to play for us by the end of September."

Connor Braid(Canadian International) to the Glasgow Warriors on a 3 month contract.

Phil Thiel --> Saracens
USA Eagles hooker on a short term contract to cover Brits.

Good to see a return of the most ridiculous line in rugby:

Thiel said: "I'm really looking forward to training with the Premiership league winners. Following the squad's recent visits to New York and Chicago, and the number of US players on the roster, an ever increasing number of Americans can see there is something special happening at Saracens, and I am delighted to be part of it."

Eusebio Guinazu --> Munster

Anyone know if he's any use?

He did sweet **** all for us.

I don't know why - I've seen him play very well for Argentina.

Potentially a very handy signing - potentially won't play and when he does be completely disinterested.
