Don't think so, League salaries are quite a bit lower than Union - they have marquee spaces too but a 33yr old non international winger who's never played league before is unlikely to be taking one of those spots, it's not like he's a big draw

Would imagine it's more for the challenge - though I would've expected him to stay in the premiership another season to try for the try scoring record


Edit: just seen that League a new Talent Pool Exemption in their cap where if a player has never played league before their salary counts 0 towards the cap the first year and 50% the second, so they could be signing him on a good deal

Doesn't sound like they have tbh - in his interview he said "since he was available in the summer", or something to that end. Sounds like he was either out of contract or had a break clause.

Sounds like it might just be short term for the remainder of the 25 Super League season. The Grand Final is 11th October so maybe he'll be back at Glaws soon after that?

What ever you think about if he was kept in the England set up too long, he is a great player and I wish him the best. Hell of a career.

Pointless actually supporting the falcons. I honestly think we should just go down to the championship and be a part time team...

The current scenario is just a waste of time and money for all involved and the other prem teams...

it's genuinely sickening just watching the 20 year olds and others who you've developed and spent time on to just go as we can't match the money.

Not to mention there are teams in the championship who might actually give it a better go ..
