Toulouse secure semi-final spot

Toulouse secured their spot in the semi finals of the Top 14 with a 33-0 victory over basement side Bourgoin at the Stade Ernest Wallon on Saturday.

Toulon bolstered their hopes of securing a play-off place as they beat Perpignan 43-12 to move up to fifth and gain revenge over the side that dumped them out of the Heineken Cup.

A shame that Montpellier fell of the back down the stretch of the season, but Toulon will have a difficult time with them in their final match. I think that if Montpellier can win with a bonus point they stand a decent chance of sneaking in. Next week Castres face Perpignan and Clermont face Toulouse, this leaves Biarritz with a good chance of making it into the top four as they have Bourgoin next week. Bayonne also have a decent shot against relegation side La Rochelle, but they need to win big. Racing are currently in second and will face off against their struggling Parisian rivals.
