Hello there,

I've been lurking these boards for a good few years now, and it would seem that in fact I'm the one who was being watched all that time! Imagine my shock at being told I'd actually have to 'interact' within a 'community' in order to participate!

Seriously though, I really want the scoop on EA Rugby '08, and given that I've just finished my finals I reckon I can spare the time to write a few posts! I'm 22 and currently at the University of Durham in the UK (though not for much longer thank goodness...), where I've been studing alcoholism and rugby along with Combined Honours in English Literature and History. I specialise in the history of English architecture amongst other things, and am a rugby nut.

I've been playing since I was about 6 years old, always as a tighthead prop! I used to play a bit for Deepings RFC before I went to university, where I've played for Hatfield College in the Northern League and the College League for three years. Unfortunately, my illustrious career recently came to an end, when a collapsed scrum broke my left arm in five places, with fractures down into my elbow and up to my shoulder. I've had 10 plates stuck in my arm, and have unfortunately been told that if I ever play again, there's a pretty high chance I'll lose my arm. :wah:

I am an avid Leicester Tigers fan - and don't moan, I've supported them for longer than I've been playing!

Right, reckon that should do for an intro, time to go and lurk in some other post until I can find something to stick my linguistic oar into!

Although your opinion on 06 being terrible is debatable and many people would disagree, you're still entitled to your opinion and if you made a topic and gave sound reasons why, it could be debated. This is what makes TRF great. Everyone to their own opinion and most of the time reasonable debating of issues.

Rugby 7's would be great though! Imagine having control of the fastest players...it'd be quite easy to carve up. That's why I guess they need to re-evaluate gameplay. All the same, i'd love to see it!

Yer say for instance you could pick your players and take them through the whole year of tournos, i gess theres only so much they can put on thegame a its a big shame doh. I relly lokin forward to the classic matches those shud be really gud a, a lot like rick ponting cricket in thinkn. As well lets all hope the difficulty has been addressed, 06 is far too easy
