The Ulster Thread

Jokes aside, video proves nothing about the quality of his knees. You can run in a straight line with relative ease even with a fairly ****ed up knee, turning and uneven ground are different matters altogether.

Damn... It just had to happen to one of our brightest prospects. Now we have to wait for months and months.. and months... to see him in an Ireland jersey.

Anyone watching Ulster? Cave is such a tidy player. It's a pity he was stuck behind BOD. He's not even too old for Ireland I reckon. Seems like Henshaw is the choice cos he's young. But I don't see him ever being as tidy as Cave. Happy to be proved wrong though.

edit. Looks like Henderson is injured with a hamstring injury.

edit 2. I don't have a man crush on Cave. I genuinely think he's much better than he's given credit for :p

edit 3!. Cave puts in Gilroy with a lovely long pass.

edit 4. f***ing brilliant by Cave, ghosting through a gap followed by a step for Small Paul to finish off a try

cave is only 26 if ireland involve him soon could get a few years out of him.

cave is such a good player he may not be the strongest or the fastest but he is such a smart player putting in the players around him

henderson? sure its not his toe?

small pauls try was quite nice

Ireland could get around 6 years out of Cave considering his style of play. He offers a lot more than BOD or Henshaw these days (blasphemy and awaiting punishment).

edit. BP try for Gilroy.

edit. And a fifth for Mckinney

edit. Noooooooo Cave off with what looks like a calf injury. And coincidently Edinburgh score a try :p

EDIT. YESSS HE'S BACK.

edit. Shanahan looks like a kid.

cave is a excellent player at provincial level. very skilful, organise the defensive line etc but he is slow. no chance he will play for Ireland other than a north American tour or some other meaningless games. he is much better than henshaw who will never make a good 13 and bod at present. I thought Payne was pencilled in to play 13 next year although he is a such better 15 and Kearney is muck at the moment.

Your first sentence seems to contradict your third sentence. There's another year to go until Payne is qualified and with his excellent play from the back whether it be kicking for the corner, countering or entering the line maybe it's best he challenge Kearney for the FB spot. By all means we need someone to challenge Kearney because he hasn't been great in a while. Who knows what a year in the Irish camp could do to develop Cave's already proven provincial game.

No no no. You got it all wrong. God loves Ulster... and we hurt the ones we love.

As for Cave... in form, he looks worth a shot as an international. Yes, you'd wish he was faster, although I'm never quite sure just how fast/slow he is, but he has got virtually all the other attributes. I'm not entirely certain the other candidates are stronger.

Olding's injury gives us a chance to look at Farrell, who I also think could be a big player for the future, so not entirely disconsolate.

Whereas, obviously, I'm not exposed to the accent as much as anyone living in Ulster I live with the most annoying Belfast accent there is morning, noon and night! The possessor of the accent makes great dinners though so I won't complain too much!!!

As for Ulster they do get horrid luck with injuries, it's always the Irish boys too which is more annoying.

I like to keep a running count of the amount of times I simply do not understand the other person when visiting Belfast. Last time I visited I lost count.

Never go to Tyrone or Fermanagh then!!! I can never understand my uncles first time round!
Cmac guess who I am. "CYALM GET THE ****ING FACK TO MAWSS YOU SINNER BOWSTARD, OT I'LL BURN YER FOCKING HOUSE DUYN"

You're wrong... dirty feckin' sheep shagging ********!

EDIT: Why in gods name where you there??? Are you trying to find me? YOU'LL NEVER DO IT

Well my cover was thay I was playing a match but yes the real reason was that I was trying to find you. ;)
