RIP NATO, or at least, a US-led version of it.

We need to up our spending more than already committed to, and spend as little of it as possible on US supplies/expertise. I'm not convinced we can even rely on them to service the kit we already have.
Forge closer ties with the EU, Canada, Australia etc.
Between the rest of NATO, we also need to train up and agree on leadership roles and coordination.

Europe can't afford to let Ukraine fall, and we have to cut the US out of any of our thinking, and reduce reliance as much as achievable.


There's a job vacancy now for "leader of the free world" the EU surely has to take that on, or we're all screwed

Also I'm waiting to hear that Zelensky's plane has been downed after they had to alter plans and Putin knew he would be 'leaving' early. Honestly wouldn't surprise me at this point.

Though weirdly, Bluesky does embed for me (I'm not on there), it's twitter that doesn't, and doesn't even link to specific posts if I click (though I guess I get to the same account, just a random post).

Maybe we could try to assume these things don't automatically embed, and treat them the same as any non-embedding link - AKA include a line or so of copy/paste text?
