when Man U decide to turn up there the best team in europe. all they need to do is to hit some form. i think Man U will go the furtherest of all the Premier league clubs in the champions league.

Tell me another, that's hilarious.

United are **** poor this season mate. Their midfield is a laughing stock. They are simply not good enough to win the Premiership, let alone the European Cup.

I think Chelsea will win the cup, so they'll go furthest of all. United certainly won't.

Wouldn't surprise me if United don't even qualify for the last 16, tricky home match against Lyon who are more than capable of winning at Old Trafford, while that last match in Turkey will definitely be difficult despite the result in the first match. Agree with Dan there are so many teams in the champions league better than United.

Farken United, just waltzed on home against Newcastle
Was the penalty in that game a correct decision then St Helens, our resident ref?

No.

However, there WAS contact and the referee had a perfect view of it. It's one of those 50/50 calls just like Andy Gray said, so I won't be slating the referee.

Brown - footballer or comedy genius?

Brown and Bramble - comedy duo of the century?

i thought it was a penalty. if that irish hack didnt dive at the Utd players feet than they would have scored.

that Irish hack happens to be one of the best keepers in the world.
Given?

Don't agree with that. I don't like small goalkeepers to start with but I think Shay Given is very, very ordinary.

Didn't think that 6'1" was small, Given is by no means an ordinary keeper.
Too many high profile clangers for my liking, he's dodgy on crosses, he won't dive at people's feet and is prone to conceeding penalties.

Just my opinion of course.

Especially with the champions league coming up and Baros likely to miss both games. Liverpool could be heading for the UEFA Cup.

I'm a bit quiet because I'm gutted. I'd fancy our chances against anyone with Baros in the team on his current form. And even when we do get the ball in the net against Middlesbrough on saturday without any strikers, an incompetent official disallows the goal.
