Eternity - Entertaining enough romantic comedy set in the afterlife. Woman has to choose between her first husband who died young or her second husband she was with until old age. Elizabeth Olsen is a better actress than I used to think. Miles Teller is convincing as someone who was an old man.

One Battle After Another - I liked it. Much of it was excellent. Comedy was a bit stronger than I'd like and took me out of it

Oscar Nominations are in looks like a straight up fight between One Battle After Another (A film that came 40th in my list I've no idea what people really see) and Sinners which was my number 1 setting a new record at 16 nominations.

Glad to see Sentimental Value really punching above its weight.

Some lock ins on other films, original song will be Golden, best animated Kpop Demon Hunters and best actress will be Jessie Buckley

Hamnet possibly not going to be contending at top awards due to Paul Mescal missing out on supporting actor.

No idea how F1 was nominated for best film.....

Sinners is a very good movie. Having the most nominations ever for a movie is mad.

Never heard of Sinners. Just read the blurb and although vague sounds basic as ****. Must be decent though. Will try and watch that in the near future.

Its the technical catergories mainly but its noms in the actors/actresses are a bit off base which probably shows why it pushes One Battle After Another over. I wouldn't of nominated anyone who did get nominated but equally baffled by omissions

Miles Canton, Jack O'Connell & Hailee Steinfeld are who pull that movie together from that perspective.

Everyone thought it was going to fail horribly, this movie clip about 50% to 66% through the movie really gives off some idea of what its reallt about and honestly was jaw dropping.

Jurassic World: Rebirth nominated for Visual Effects. I'm 3 movies behind on this franchise they keep getting **** reviews. Edit: excrement not 4 stars

They were fine.....Visual Effects are a weird one these days nothing has pushed the boundaries in such a long time it just appear random to what franchise gets them each year. It'll go to Sinners as its being nominated in the higher categories and will be a early indicator if nominations go to awards. But I've not seen Avatar (and don't intend to).

The Lost Bus was an interesting nomination there.
