What's this ? Quins struggling and even drawing against one of our second division clubs ? mehehehe...

Is Pohe England qualified do we know?

Yeh one of his parents is English and he has lived here for a while.

Leicester lost 26 -19.

Wasn't to bad, although if people don't think Manu passes wait till they see pohe ;) TBF he was the only back who was making yardage outside of Bai, so may have been the gameplan.

Briggs, Baimain, Harrison and Bai played very well. Crofty worked hard and looks fully fit, Gibson looked a step behind (rusty).

Young 10 Bryant showed some promising stuff as did Tresidder although had the odd brain fart, the locks were alright.

Overall a decent game, next up Edinburgh away.

Yes - played for England age grade, u18s I think (?).
Not sure he's that bothered though - might feel more Kiwi... I think he was brought up in Cornwall though.

I though Pohe had been an age grade player, only U18s though so maybe his lack of passing was a bit of an issue for the U20s set up. I saw him play in an LV cup game last year and he did look big.

Not saying he'd be right for England or that he'd want to, but he does at least add to the list of English/English qualified crash ball centres that will be around in the coming years.

Croft looking fit and sharp is great but is going to only add to the back row selection nightmare.

Did croft hit rucks and work hard or constantly end up on the wing? I want him back but only if he is playing a proper 6 role.

Hitting...rucks? :O

At least if Croft is playing well and fit then we might lose one of the dead weight back rows from the EPS.

hmm....decent comeback...but I was unaware that "thumb" could be used as a verb too. Let me exercise it a little bit, in the sentence "last weekend, I thumbed my girlfriend in the vaginal area", would 'to thumb' there mean to abruptly tap intermittently on the said girlfriend's vaginal surface, or would the meaning of the verb change along with its context ? Some sort of a "pansemantic" verb that....okay I'm just linguistically masturbating there...

We lose 34-19 in our 1st pre season game. Cue overdramatic rection by armchair fans on the internet.

Sale beat Fylde 40 - 5, we also had four tries scrubbed off due to forward passes so that makes it a bit more respectable (considering the amount of first teamers we had out, and how they're an amateur/semi-pro side).
Apparently Joe Ford had a blinder, which is great to hear. Marc Jones was taken off injured after 20, though, which is horrendous news. We've now only got one hooker on the books, and he's 19yrs old and spends half his time playing openside as well (Cameron Neild from England u20s). Hopefully Jones is fit again for the start of the season, and/or this Georgian's visa/work permit paperwork goes through without a hitch.

No I think in that context you've got the meaning right first time...

I feel this escalated rather quickly.

Whats happened to Taylor?

Glad to heard Joe Ford is looking sharp.

Still out with the injury he picked up for England vs Baabaas, out until Christmas unfortunately.

Blimey, it didn't seen too bad a knock at the time. I remember thinking it looked more like a stinger. That's a real bummer.

Have a feeling he tore something in his knee, so he was just really unlucky.

Very good call. Can't speak highly enough of how he's performed since coming back to Wasps.

We beat Leeds 62-19. We played a different team in each half and looked pretty sharp. Laidlaw and Hook were diferent class. However the scrums were very poor in the first half which was worry even if we were missing Afoa,Hibbard and Wood. The real test will be our next game against Munster.
