Has anyone questioned Hansen taking a forward off for a back in the match, after the SBW red card?
sbw cost the match but this decision didnt help. kaino was robbed.
i cant fathom it either. in the wet against a team that relies heavily on their forwards and hansen takes off his most effective hard hitting forward? wtf? and replaces him with a rookie back?
he at least shouldve given kaino a warning and say something like "youre off in 15, empty the tank"
and then laumape is an exForward and shoulda packed down.

but lions also missed a major chance in using their forward advantage to milk penalties from the scrums. that was weird. as bad as the ABs decisions were Lions tried pretty hard to throw this game away. lions kept the ABs in this game up to the last 15 mins

So I have to ask...do the all-blacks really feel this much grievance about what happened on saturday?

Been reading a number of articles from the new zealand media. I hadnt realised Hansen described the red card as debatable, which by the way I think is ******* ridiculous.
Then you've got this for example talking about referee inconsistency and the all blacks feeling hard done by, http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=11885901

The same article also implies Itoje should have been carded, and also refers to something "nasty" Sinkler said to TJ Perenara at the end of the game as causing a "sore spot" for the all-blacks.

Really? I know our media are pretty terrible but is the new zealand sport media incapable of not blowing up any slight perceived insult into something bigger?

Reasons why the Lions will win.

1. They have the momentum.
2. The rain forecast
3. Inexperienced AB midfield
4. Inconsistent AB goal kicker
5. Lions fans
6. Style more effective
I hope you are right mate. How did you get so much red and so little green ?

Not that I agree with most of that but, the English are not the ones to be attacking another country over their sporting media. England have churned out the most BS of any country in the world when it comes to their sporting media. So I'd calm your ***s mate.

A lot, would have thought the Lions would have a ban on players going out and drinking after a big test.

Just lacks professionalism imo when you have a massive match next weekend.

All Blacks use to be notoriously bad for it too until they cleaned it up.
Spot on mate, Gatlands usually strong on that sort of thing, the days of amateurism and shamateurism are gone I wouldn't be surprised if he's been sanctioned and rightly so, you'll remember a bunch of England players acting like spoilt public school boys in a bar when you hosted the WC in 2011, you would think players would learn from that.
If he has been messing around with another women he should wear the idiot badge, for fucks sake hes on the highest profile rugby tour ever with cameras and camera phones everywhere.

agree. i think with the platform they set in the first half more of the team could take advantage from it and do all the higher level dynamic plays making everyone look good.
its still amazes me how big a ticker whitelock and retallick have and how hard they work.
whitelock in particular is an unsung hero and just as vital as retallick
Personally I've always rated Whitelock more than Retallick. Retallick's clearly a f***ing outstanding player but the work that Whitelock gets through is just unbelievable.

Also it isn't soccer it is football FFS.

Things like american football (USA), Aussie rules football (Aus) and Celtic Football (IRE) are all poverty version of the main football.
The main version being Rugby Football or Rugby Football League ?
The girlie game with the round ball played by the likes of Rooney is soccer and if you check out the ticket prices soccer is now the game for the posh people.

No mate, please don't talk about my ***s. I'm well aware how terrible our media is when it comes to sport - that's exactly what's been highlighted a few pages earlier in this thread by smartcooky and I even acknowledged it in my post(can you read?) and I'm bringing it back round to you guys. We have a shitty shitty media but we're pretty used to losing so it rarely comes down to making excuses for it - we have to be more inventive than that. I'm asking whether these views are representative of something generally in new zealand i.e is there a shared feeling that decisions went against you on saturday., it's not about *** for tat.

I saw Marco Vunipola at the taxi stand at 430am the night after the Highlanders match, smashed off his face and taking home Greg Coopers (ex-AB) daughter. She's always been a slapper and a nasty piece of work, they made a good couple.

I'm seeing so much sanctimonious posting on the forum at the moment. You know you've got a problem when valley commando's liking your posts.

Have you not got any morals ? If he is ******* about behind his wifes back then he deserves to be sanctioned by Gats and thinking back to a couple of Welsh players being dropped in the past I reckon he may have been dealt with rightly so.

Jesus ******* christ are you kidding me? You want a player to be sanctioned for PURPORTED transgressions of a personal nature against his wife? So the lions are now about upholding christian marital values?

Maybe for thinking the All Blacks lose when I'm a kiwi
We will see, cometh the hour and all that ********. You should be proud of Gatland and IF we beat you on Saturday you will be able to say that the best coach in the World is a Kiwi

In this day of Social media and cameras everywhere i'm very surprised that
1. That photos haven't surfaced
2. that no media publication has picked it up.

I'm not saying i don't fully trust an anonymous poster on a rugby forum BUT....

Actually to be honest and I think it's because I just don't read tabloid tosh I don't think our media is that bad towards other nations. I especially don't think we can get sore losers tag we usually go after the players coaches more than the ref/opposition. It may of been true 10-15 years ago. In Rugby you almost garuntee to see an article in detail about how England cheat bit you rarely see it the other way round.

It's a bit like the blaming Burgess after the RWC people claims that's what we do the reality is far from it.

anyone else noticed how quiet the English media have been after this win?

agree. nominally retallick has a bit more skill and finesse, but whitelock is relentless.
