Should be an awesome game.
Chiefs need to get their defense tight and stop giving away too many penalties.

Go Chiefs

massive game, chiefs need to improve from last weekend but surely the defending champs will be more motivation for them than the lowly lions. But I think this one will go with home advantage. We shall see, chiefs are surely good enough to do it.

Chiefs to take it, they are a really well balanced team at the moment

Interesting how much vBookie favours the Chiefs, considering their average performance last week and the match being in Brisbane... Rennie's probably been drilling them during the week pretty hard, so hopefully they bring back the intensity from the Canes match.

The hard pitch will be good, but that doesn't mean the Chiefs can afford to play a hugely unstructured game. A few seasons ago (I think 2009) they spent the first ten minutes camped inside their own 22, before finally getting a line break and scoring the first try. They went on to win 50-26, scoring six tries in the process. I wouldn't mind a repeat of that, though preferably the Reds score would be kept down!

Have to agree with this, Chiefs look to be the most complete outfit in the competition, they have a creative back line, a strong defence, solid set pieces and a physical forward pack.
The reds are still a good side, I even think they are on the up but very few teams will beat the Chiefs as they are.

Chiefs team:

Chiefs team to take on the Reds in Brisbane on Sunday:

1. Arizona Taumalolo
2. Mahonri Schwalger
3. Ben Tameifuna
4. Craig Clarke (c)
5. Brodie Retallick
6. Liam Messam
7. Tanerau Latimer
8. Alex Bradley
9. Brendon Leonard
10. Aaron Cruden
11. Asaeli Tikoirotuma
12. Sonny Bill Williams
13. Richard Kahui
14. Lelia Masaga
15. Andrew Horrell

16. Hika Elliot 17. Toby Smith 18. Kane Thompson 19. Sam Cane 20. Augustine Pulu 21. Jackson Willison 22. Robbie Robinson

Would have preferred to see Robinson start at 15

I guess he's still coming back from injury. Interesting that Tameifuna gets another start - I would've thought they would've rested him, but I suppose he's the only specialist tight head at the moment. Kerr-Barlow not even on the bench this week - very odd.

According to a newsfeed of the Chiefs app, Kerr-Barlow is suffering from a minor illness. Should be back in a fortnight.

late whinge on the Reds v Crusaders game ; ref Bryce Lawrence has amazing ability to totally confuse me and both teams with his wacky calls on the field and How can the Reds give away 17 penalties and yet the other team get a man sent to the bin for 10 minutes?
After the game Todd Blackadder totally sprayed the Crusaders for the way they played and the Crusaders were treating it as a loss !
Toddy sets a pretty high bar......back to this weeks game, I'm thinking the Chiefs by 7....

Anybody else thinking that Dan Carter has lost his mojo? Or maybe he's just out of position and out of match fitness.....

Maybe they should go read the laws and stop listening to the commentators. Bryce's decisions were correct. Of course a referee will come under fire again as a Australian team lost. Its becoming a habit blaming the referee these days. If you disagree about his decisions provide proof or references where he was wrong and we can take it from there.

Great game so far, both sides scoring.
Chiefs should get their defense up.

What happened at around 65mins?
I turned on and the ref was saying he didn't get a number so couldn't card whoever did **something**?
