Super 15: Western Force - Reds @ nib Stadium, Perth (11-06-2011, 13:05 GMT)

No news yet (AFAIK), i'll post if anything comes up tomorrow. Did the commentators get an update during the telecast? I was at the game.

Yes and no

They went to him when he was on the bench, asked him how bad it was, didn't have a clear indication of what the injury is. However he had some wicked contraption on his foot, looked like a little incubator with a tube attached.
On the replays it looked bad though

Looked bad but not so much: the ankle did not completely twist...
It didn't look so serious.
I had troubles on my ankles (both, still have troubles), and when it's been serious, I really couldn't even put the foot on the ground, if there're some damages (ligaments, tendon, broken bones) you can't put weight on it...
After the first treatment, Sharpe stood up and limped away on his legs!

I hope he will get well soon, he's been amazing during this season.
Actually since 3N 2010.

I didn't see the game, fell asleep :\ woke up to see Sharpe limping off and went to bed.

By the way guys, the second Reds try should not have been awarded.

1. The ball rolls right through the scrum.

[TEXTAREA]
LAW 20.7 WHEN THE SCRUM BEGINS
(b) If the scrum half throws in the ball and it comes out at either end of the tunnel, the ball must be thrown in again unless a free kick or penalty has been awarded.

[/TEXTAREA]
[TEXTAREA]LAW 20.10 ENDING THE SCRUM
(a) The ball comes out. When the ball comes out of the scrum in any direction except the tunnel, the scrum ends.
[/TEXTAREA]

2. If ball is ruled is still the scrum, then Red 6 picks up the ball when he is still bound to the scrum.

[TEXTAREA]LAW 20.9 SCRUM - GENERAL RESTRICTIONS
(b) All players: Handling in the scrum. Players must not handle the ball in the scrum or pick it up with their legs.

Sanction: Penalty kick[/TEXTAREA]

3. Red 6 was not the hindmost player when he picks up the ball.

[TEXTAREA]LAW 20.10 ENDING THE SCRUM
(c) Hindmost player unbinds. The hindmost player in a scrum is the player whose feet are nearest the team’s own goal line. If the hindmost player unbinds from the scrum with the ball at that player’s feet and picks up the ball, the scrum ends.
[/TEXTAREA]

Critical error by the referee that led directly to a try being awarded.

Look at who the referee was. Why am I not surprised?

Yeah, was pounding my remote when the ref didn't pull them back.

That decision could well have a remarkable impact as to who wins Superugby

God you guys whinge so much, I didn't whinge about Stephen Moores try that probably won the Brumbies the game, he didn't even ground the ball....

Well good for you.

I'm telling what the Law is, got it?

I'm sure the Ref, TMO and Ref's association know if it was the right call or not, and if it wasn't then there will be a press conference saying how sorry they are that a complete muppet got to control a game.

Stupid line out option at the end and the aerial ping pong and kicking was terrible. Played right into Coopers hands who played brilliantly at fullback to keep them in touch.

Yea, it's a relief he will be back for the Tri Nations.
