Super Rugby: Chiefs vs. Sharks in Hamilton (27/04/2013)

Another try for the Sharks! The Chiefs better wake-up fast...

NZ teams need to spend the rest of the super15 concentrating on mauling nothing else. Iv never seen NZ teams get so shafted over a weekend of rugby like this one. Even the aussie teams are at it!!

Its the high risk pass pass pass pass pass pass game. Its like suddenly the kick is banned in NZ or are they instructed to throw it around at all cost?

Other than the good set piece try off the lineout the chiefs didnt really do much in that half. Just rubbish rugby imo.

horrid officiating from the touch judges awarding the sharks a try when the ball was off the ground and the ref wanted to check upstairs, and then that kick out on the full. hopefully rennie fires theses guys up and they teach these guys a lesson.

In the old days they'd of given that try without batting an eyelid. Even if it wasnt a try it deserved one so im not that fussed over it.

Agree. Any official blowing in favor of the opposition is horrible

Poor hands there by Chris Pollack.

Messam tries to give the Sharks 7 points, but some great defense by TNW.

Cant recall a team in super having two 13's (even though nanai is a 15) as good as Kahui and Nanai Williams?

Actually feel a bit for Tim if Ben Smith wasnt around he'd probably be a shue in for that player the AB's always need on the bench to cover multiple back positions.

Good to see a team other than the NZ ones playing some dumb rugby for a change. The sharks made some idiotic errors in this game. They could of won this without those.

Glad the sharks didn't get a double bonus point, makes up for some of the officiating. great game bar that though

Good win for the Chiefs, a very entertaining game for the neutral.

The Chiefs will be happy to take the 5 points, but it wasn't overly convincing. They built a good lead, then went to sleep. The Sharks will be disappointed to have let the 2nd bonus point slip away, as 2 bonus points would have been a great result for them given how depleted their team is.

Nanai-Williams is great with ball in hand, but his defense is not great (particularly at centre). Not only does he lack physicality, but he seems to get caught out of position a lot. I don't think he will be that close to the AB's squad at this stage, but if he continues to improve his defense (and decision making too) he may warrant a spot in the future.

Wow, the first time I've heard someone complain that a team kicks too little.

I dont know that they built a lead it kinda was handed to them on a platter by sharks mistakes. Sharks made a bunch or horrendous errors in this game. The Chiefs didnt have to do much at all for that 24 point lead.

I agree about TNW D not that great but his vision is amazing which is what leads to most of his breaks or trys. He was one of the first to turn and chase for that intercept try when he was nowhere near it. Its the only reason he caught that guy.

Chiefs looked great on attack, but woeful on defence. Wayne Smith needs to do something about that.

Didn't bother to watch, probably would have turned it off after the first whatever.
How bad in Cobus' injury?
Step forward Venter?
