Super Rugby: Chiefs vs. Reds in Hamilton (13/04/2013)

Im really hating how there seems to be no chance for attacking teams to place the ball after the tackle before some rat is in there trying to steal the ball as soon as they hit the deck. The reds and brumbies are paticularly good at it. That and the rest of the NZ teams are catching the highlanders diseases.

Well... That was disgraceful stuff. The handling errors were horrible. We made 8 linebreaks, 2 tries. The Reds made 4 linebreaks and came away with the bonus point.

Wow, that's some stats. Very frustrating.

What an embarrassing performance. Messam in particular was terrible. I don't know why Rennie didn't take Aki off earlier, he played very well (bar the odd thing), but Horrell is a much better all round player.

Chiefs also bombed a bunch of tries. Anscombe should've drawn and passed the ball to get the score. Likewise in the second half Cruden bombed a try, Osborne should've sent the ball in field to Kahui after his second or third break. I don't know who lost the ball near the line either.

Reds were constantly infringing in the last ten minutes. Even when Walsh picked up on them he didn't give the Reds another yellow, which I don't understand. Does your penalty count reset to zero after you get a yellow card?

Ok so who's side is Walsh on really? And Chiefs seems to have a omen. The Reds have done them again!

1) REDS played one level above what they normally play
2) Chiefs played 3 level below what they normally play
3) Steven Walsh - I hate it when he referee the game.

That happens when you turn over the ball 23 times.

Is obvious the REDS study and planned well for this game. They know actually where to attack. Chiefs look lost throughout the match. A very disappointing performance. Chiefs team management is partially to be blame. Maybe the whole is over confident

Red were much more clinical Cheifs were really off their game today, the reverse of what I expected. Cooper was really looking to prove a point to Deans today his kicking out of hand was very good, directly leading to their second try.
