Common boys, I'm doing the effort of getting up early so please give me a big win.

Chiefs will bashed up REDS...REDS will leave the stadium really RED

Big game of the round in my opinion, since the Stormers haven't quite found form yet. With Genia and Cooper looking back on form (Against the Highlanders, albeit), the Reds look very dangerous. But I think that the Chiefs will snatch this one. Go the Chiefs!

Really disappointed we still haven't seen Horrell and Kahui together... Aki's been the least impressive at 12 of him, Ngatai and Horrell. Grrr...

Agree with you there Invictus. Ngatai in particular has impressed me. Anyone know when Craig Clarke is back?

Want to swap him for the incumbent All Blacks 12? ;)

I do agree though, Horrell would have been a much better choice at 12, and I would have preferred Ngatai too. Aki has been solid in his debut season (particularly on defense), but doesn't offer the same level of threat as Horrell.

The Chiefs are starting to look a bit thinner in their tight-five, but Fitzgerald has really stepped up this season. I'm not surprised to see a Latimer/Cane/Messam loose trio - they need a mobile trio to counter the Reds outstanding young trio, and no-one has really stepped up this season and claimed the 8 jersey for themselves. It is good to see Nanai-Williams finally out of the centre (though he is even better at fullback). I assume Masaga must be injured? It is interesting to see Anscombe continued to hold onto the 15 jersey - I wonder whether Robbie Robinson is available...

clear Fritz Lee still isn't ticking Renee's boxes

masaga injured?

also expected to see Leonard at 9, i think they are missing a trick with him. He was out with an injury that still allowed him to do a lot of training so he's been doing a ton of fitness work. hasn't really got the chance.

Rennie's said those are his top three loose forwards, Lee is next cab off the ranks.

Masaga has a minor back injury, was originally selected on the bench.

Queensland Reds: 1. Greg Holmes, 2. James Hanson, 3. James Slipper, 4. Rob Simmons, 5. James Horwill (c), 6. Eddie Quirk, 7. Liam Gill, 8. Jake Schatz, 9. Will Genia (vc), 10. Quade Cooper, 11. Rod Davies, 12. Ben Tapuai, 13. Anthony Faingaa, 14. Dom Shipperley, 15. Jono Lance.
Reserves: 16. Albert Anae, 17. Ben Daley, 18. Ed O'Donoghue, 19. Jarrad Butler, 20. Ben Lucas, 21. Chris Feauai-Sautia, 22. Aidan Toua

Pretty good looking side. Davies gets his first start of the season on the left wing (personally I would have preferred Feauai-Sautia).

I thinking it should be a good match, but I think Chiefs will win in the end by 10-15 points.

The Chiefs look right on top of their game while the Reds seem slightly off pace at the moment so I'd agree with Chiefs by about 7-10.

Reds have got some real pace out wide but the Chiefs back 3 should be able to handle it.

Just tuned in the last 10 mins. ****ing love the way the Chiefs are hitting! :D
