Not sure if any of you saw the sport xv programme on bbc 2 at 10pm but Tom English made some interesting points, main thing was that we are as bad as table proves but says we will JUST get out of WC pool.

1st thing mentioned) He talked about Ireland team from yesterday having numerous leaders in the team (O'Connell, Best, Heaslip, O'Brien and O'Mahony to name a few) whereas Scotland had Jonny Gray, a TWENTY ONE year old as leader which he described as being "unfair" on Gray.

2nd) He says that our backline is good (probably a lot on here will disagree with that), its our forwardline that is bad.

He also talked about Penalty count but didn't really say much regarding refereeing decisions when JB asked him if possibly refs were against us in terms of decisions.

He did mention that Barclay should have been in squad/pool for tournament and that they were some positives, which most of us already knew but that there were also some "blunders.

Final bit from me is Mr Englishes World Cup team.

1) Alisdair Dickinson
2) Ross Ford
3) WP Nel
4) Richie Gray
5) Jonny Gray
6) Kelly Brown
7) John Barclay
8) Josh Strauss (who he looks forward to seeing)

9) Sam Hidalgo-Clyne
10) Finn Russell
11) Tommy Seymour
12) Matt Scott
13) Mark Bennett
14) Sean Maitland
15) Stuart Hogg.

Also, in Herald or Scotsman for tomorrow, Craig Chalmers will publish his verdict on 6N.

Thoughts?
