Southern Kings v Lions

Didn't see the match. Is Monye a cert?[/b]
I'd say so, he didn't do anything spectacular, but didn't f-up, so i'd say he was in based on previous matches/shane not outperforming him when brought on in the last 20mins or so

yeah i think monye has done enough, i do like fitzgerald though but if monye and bowe are picked on the wing for 1st test that would be fair enough.
and i don't know what back row combination mcgeechan favours but i deffinately WOULD have martyn williams at 7. and it seems heaslip has nailed down that 8 spot so i guess if i was picking the blindside flanker i'd go for croft but wallace has the strength to clearout the boks at the breakdown so it's a tough decision.
does anyone else agree that
6. croft
7. williams
8. heaslip
is the way to go?

edit. i suppose if you wanted to match the boks physically you'd go for wallace at 7...

The Lions wont and cant match the Boks physically. I know stats say were all the same size but I just dont see it happening.

I suppose the question for me is whether you trust the likes of Bowe, Philips, O'Driscoll and Roberts to offload to the runners, and so avoiding the breakdown. If so you go for Williams and one of the other two, if not you probably go for Wallace and Croft.

6. Wallace
7. Williams
8. Heaslip

The thought of Croft against the Boks makes me cringe, he'd be eaten alive.

Of course he would.

He doesn't play for <strike>Ireland</strike> Munster

Partially that and partially because he´s used to lounging around with the backs. He´s not used to being South Africad

You were saying?

He had a good game, not as good as the likes of Stephen Jones were saying but good nevertheless. Don't think himself and Williams would work well together, but would be happy to be proved wrong.

[/b][/quote]

Yeah. Fine. He finished two tries and there's no doubt he's the best choice at 6 by far. But he hardly dissproved the 'he won't be good enough at ruck time' theory.

And that is what I was saying. So nananananana :p

And fecking Planetrugby calling Hamie Heaslip 'a Munsterman'. Those guys are focking idiots.

What about them saying Vickery > Beast, Jones > Pienaar and Mears > Du Plessis? :p

Welsh and especially De wet Barry were so aggressive .

Enjoyable game I loved it.
