Scotland v Ireland

Why is Halfpenny only on bench?
Can't wait to see that lot sing Flower of Scotland :D

Stringer called in to squad but don't get hope up it only to act as cover to TOL

ROG?
Interesting choice :S
Ireland looking to win ugly?

Do you know who's making way for Bowe? I'd presume McFadden, but I think he's had a better tournament than Earls so far (and Earls would be better on the bench than Wallace or McFadden)

With all of Scotland's injuries I think they are going to lose. If they do win it will be by Park's Boot. So I really hope that Scotland just go out and say lets throw the ball around and see what happens. They played great against france, why can't they bring that back.

Scotland team announced with plenty of changes.

I don't know why but I really like that Scotland team. Paterson in there makes sense to cove kicking, whilst injecting some pace and creativity with Jackson. I think it's really good that Barclay and Gray are back in the pack, especially Barclay. That could give an important edge.A good bench too with lots of experience. Still not sure about De Luca but I guess we'll see how he fares with a fly half who's actually moving forwards

Scotland: 15 Chris Paterson, 14 Nikki Walker, 13 Nick De Luca, 12 Sean Lamont, 11 Max Evans, 10 Ruaridh Jackson, 9 Mike Blair, 8 Johnnie Beattie, 7 John Barclay, 6 Kelly Brown, 5 Alastair Kellock (c), 4 Richie Gray, 3 Moray Low, 2 Ross Ford, 1 Allan Jacobsen.
Replacements: 16 Scott Lawson, 17 Geoff Cross, 18 Nathan Hines, 19 Richie Vernon, 20 Rory Lawson, 21 Dan Parks, 22 Simon Danielli.

Jackson Jackson Jackson!
Scotland look to want to do what Dougy said, above!
4 - 8 looking very strong
Would've had Lamont/Evans in the centres, with Danielli on the wing, but to have Jackson feeding Lamont is going to improve Scotlands game drastically

Very much looking forward to this now :D

Hey, I'm Welsh and I can sing Flower of Scotland!
Loving Parks getting dropped :)
Lamont at 12 - Is Robinson doing a Gatland? I.E: Jamie Roberts...?

Olyy regarding bench McFadden and Earls are equally versatile.
As for who Bowe comes in for I'd guess McFadden too but then again DK has funny way of doing thing and it's well known in Limerick he doesn't rate Earls as highly as some.
ROG selection mean we will be playing a forwards based game I'd guess and try as you say win ugly.

As for Scottish team well surprised Hines is out but it is an impressive team and Gray is a player I've enjoyed watching lately

Fantastic Parks not starting and Robinson letting Jackson start, the only way he's going to get experance before the WC, and with Lamont at 12 and Beattie and Gray back on the pitch if Scotland keep the ball in hand and keep the handling mistakes down this is going to be a great game.

Bring on Sunday.

I think Robison should be given alot of respect for the selection he has made. He could have played it safe and just went with the normal choices and hope for a good performance but he hasn't. He has picked the players that will add the most to Scotland's game. He is a manager that is fed up with Scotland being the team that is happy with a good performance but a loss. He always looks for the win and he is giving Scotland that ruthless edge. He is someone that doesn't just wait for things to happen he makes them happen and this selection shows that.

Other subs are Leamy and Cullen.

Very disappointed and think McFadden should be on bench.
TOL wouldve been a starter if his back was right and well I delighted Stringer is in instead and he should be our starting 9.
Sexton dropped is a strange call in some aspects to me.
It's an ok team but hopefully we can get the win and I look forward to 60 mins when Strings and Sexton combine to unleash backs

i think kidney isprepearingfor a close game so we have rog who is more accustomed to close forward games than sexton

I think McFadden should be on the bench instead of Wallace. Sexton has been fine but I do thinks that its important that both of our fly halves have a good amount of international game time before the world cup. Its good to see that Buckley hasn't just been dropped due to injury. Hopefully Reddan and Stringer make very good impacts and one of them becomes first choice.

In brief, D'arcy and Best deserve to be dropped yet Sexton is scapegoated. O'Leary deserves to be dropped yet only misses out through injury. McFadden has perhaps been Ireland's best back yet can't make the 22 ahead of butterfingers Wallace and D'arcy. O'Callaghan has been playing okay but Cullen is the form second row. Bad selection, the only positive is that Kidney resisted the urge to recall Buckle

Another amazing selection from Eddie O'Kidney.

Hes dead right of course to drop both McFadden and Sexton. The two players who were obviously most at fault for the French defeat.

Apart from that I have nothing to say about it.

@Logorrhea
He's building a squad though. 100 times capped O'Gara and 40 times capped Best need to learn more than 15 times capped Sexton and 10 times capped Cronin.

Joke of a selection which rewards Kidney's favourites rather than form.
