Totally agree. His defence is not great. It still annoys me that he played in all 3 tests for the Lions.

Maybe they're not better than this? Haven't really beaten anyone good in two years and lost a test series to Argentina.

Partly that but the Scotland that played France in 6N were much better

Great half for France, Scotland just not getting out of the blocks against a very fast and aggressive defence.

I hope there is a Change of attitude in the second half from Scotland, not showed up yet in this game.

Hard to know to what extent this is pre-season rust for Scotland versus this being a sign of what a humungous gap of 9 ranking points looks like. Almost zero platform for Scotland to do anything whereas lovely and sharp from France in almost all facets.

Maybe the Scotland camp should have spent more time training and less time talking about how wonderful they all are? (as is their wont)

Especially considering how slapped together the side is vs the established combos in the Scotland side?
