Scotland - Romania (10-09-2011, 13:00)

Yeah, I remember the assistant coach saying they can't afford to lose more players in training so they'll just train to get used to the pitch, weather and set their bio clocks right. Lately we've seen so many injuries like these boys were made out of china glass.

But thanks for the support anyway, we owe you a beer.View attachment 1248

Thanks for realising it wasn't negativity, am hoping the guys do well. :)

cant wait for the game. i'm very tired , however i cant sleep and i'm counting down the hours left untill the game starts . as we say in Romania , AMR 8 ore(hours) . hope to see a game played with honour from our guys . The result is not important , we'll support them through good times and bad times .

This is one of the few games in prime time here in Canada, hoping from a good game from two teams I love to watch and cheer for.

Its likely going to be a forwards battle.. which suits the Romanians.. I think the Scots will be the one throwing it out to the backs.

20 minutes till the game starts.

It's 3:40 o'clock in Romania. I sleeped only 4 hours, but I want to see the match. Go Oaks :)!

Even if Romania don't win, I'm sure they'd love to spoil Scotlands talk of a four try bonus point win if they can! That'd be like a mini-win in itself. :)

There's all this talk about Scotland needing that 4 try bonus point, but when's the last time the Scots scored 4 tries in a game?
I'm doubtful, especially if Romania front up with their big boys and look to spoil scotland's game.

Scots have got a few tidy backs, should do alright! Then again Dumitras has a HUGE boot on him tbf!

Also just saw the re-tweet by TRF, have ITV really been going on about England in the build up?

Probably should have stayed up instead of getting a few hours sleep first - Missed the first 10 :p
Turned on in time for the Scottish try

Scotland conceding a ton of penalties, they're going to end up with a man in the bin if they're not careful

Interesting to hear that Scotland and Canada did some scrum and lineout training together. Don't see that too much in the build up to a big tournament.

Yeah, far too many silly penalties by us.

However, decent enough start, combinations appear to bevworking well Jackson taking the right options, Ansbro and Evans finding gaps regularly, and last but not least, there is a decent ref who is consistent in his application of the laws if nothing else.

I take back what i said about being doubtful of scotland getting 4 tries. LOL.
It looks to be a matter of 'when' not 'if' they get their 4 tries.

Probably against Canada, 2008 I think.

No, maybe Italy? Can't remember.

Play to your strengths though - they're no the All Blacks and know they've got some 'ard men in the pack, so just have them run into people :p

Doing alright for them at the moment - games not out of reach, they've got some points on the board, and have a scrum 5 now

Dangerous forwards play! They're looking close to getting a try here!

Which commentators do our UK viewers have? Kiwi commentators reckon 'Scotland are one of the sides that prefer to run with the ball'

Ay? Strange call, should've scrummed again, surely?!
Missed the kick 'n' all :(
