Sale have on Wednesday announced the signing of exciting winger Charlie Amesbury from Newcastle Falcons.
The 25-year-old joins the Sharks after two terms with the Falcons. In his first season at Newcastle, he scored five tries including two away to Bath, one of which was a contender for try of the year.
Previous to that he was with Quins where he was part of their promotion winning team in 2006/07. He has also represented England Sevens.
"Charlie is a good signing for the club," said Executive Director of Rugby Steve Diamond.
"His chances at Newcastle have been limited of late due to an injury, but he is back to full fitness and I am looking forward to welcoming him to pre season training in June."
Meanwhile, Amesbury was delighted to take up the opportunity to work with Sale but was grateful to the Kingston Park outfit for an enjoyable stay.
"I have enjoyed my time at Newcastle and thank everyone there for the support over the past two years but the time is right for me to take up this new challenge at Sale Sharks, who are clearly showing a huge amount of ambition moving forward," he said.
