[RWC2023] England vs Argentina (09/09/2023)

I'm sweating. And I'm not even doing anything unsatisfactory

Story of that half for me is how dog water argentina where, england outside of ford and lawes didnt really do much well, argentina knockoing on anything that comes close to them giving away penalties. Bizzare. Lets see what they look like after the half.

"It's as well as England have played in a long long time"

I mean...maybe, but it's like....still terrible, barring the dropgoals
I disagree. Attitude and accuracy are miles ahead of what we've seen recently.

Sure we're not playing much rugby, but with 14 against 15, I think we're doing the right thing.

So defence is a huge improvement, but Argentina aren't doing much though. Attack is still pathetic and kicking in the opponents half still infuriates me, especially when we don't even compete properly. Lawes on the floor and Ford's kicking are the real highlights even if a drop goal 10 metres out shows Ford has 0 faith in England's attack.

If thats your metric you dont have to go back far, just the wales england game 2 games ago actually.

Played far better after 2 down

England look much better than I expected. Still loads to work on but the intensity seems to be there, there's a bit more shape to them than has been. Defence has been excellent, particularly with a man down. Lawes and Ford stand out players for me.

Argentina need to come out a different team next half, they look all at sea and the kicking game is a shambles.

**** off Doyle

Oh good god I don't want to agree with Loz and The Mekon
