[RWC2019][Semi-Final 1] England vs. New Zealand (26/10/2019)

I cant take the haka seriously ever since I had a mental picture of the all blacks practicing in front of a mirror in black lycra

I have other plans in my amazing life....it's a complete **** actually but hearing a talk from Sir Patrick Stewart is one the few things that tops a NZ V Eng semi....I've managed to find a bar showing the game that's a stones throw away.
Err, wasn't there something on Radio5 this morning about a Star Trek convention in Brum and a guy from Bris being forced by his Mrs to go in full cosplay missing the semi final?

Wasn't paying much attention TBH.

Hope rather than expectation today.

We can definitely win but it's a big ask.

At least that's how I'm controlling my heart rate.

I ended up buying a new flight back from holiday in Portugal on Friday night for £300 as my original flight today was just after the game would have finished.

Rather than trying to watch the game on my mobile whilst going through security and passport control, my wife suggested I fly back home to London by myself early and she would fly back today with our two young kids....she is a keeper

I ended up going to sleep at 2am and have been awake since 6am. So nervous and excited for this match.

Very much think this is a 55% chance for NZ, 45% chance for England.
Chose rugby over the wife kids and family holiday.....i would be murdered to death by my wife!

How has this not started yet?

Don't think I've ever been this pumped before watching a match!

The original plan was I'd drive up separately after the match then they put his talk at 11:15am

I'd never bet against England, that's why I don't make any money...

I've just done a dozen Burpees purely to burn some adrenaline.
I F***ing HATE Burpees!
Not done any in a good 15 years!

ETA: and now my knee is reminding me why I stopped

Wife just brought out the "it's only a game"
FFS, she knows better than that!
**** mate, I hope we win so you don't have to get divorced the same day we got knocked out the World Cup.

Im well aware that it's about 65:35 against us, it really isn't working on the heart rate.

Sausages, bacon, beans, scrambled eggs, hash browns, fried bread and tea have been finished. First beer has just been opened.

Hope the local ambulance service has been charging their defibrillators. I think I'm well primed!

Lawes starting might actually be a master stroke, if he can put a big shot or two on Richie M and or BB might unnerve them a little.

Hope that it doesn't come down to the "Don Fox moment" for either team. A disastrous blunder, missed kick, dropped ball. 2 very exciting teams, evenly matched. Neither side easily "bullied" in any dept. Seriously looking forward to this. Probably be as dull as dishwater, now I've said that. If the back row perform, England win. Manu, Billy and Mako should be on the front line vs "the haka".

Come on just get this started! I cant take the wait! Im getting excited and nevous now.
