[RWC2019][Pool A] Round 1 - Ireland vs. Scotland (22/09/2019)

Think James Ryan has a carry or tackle per minute played, well deserved try.

Great break from Henderson.

Good score, but once again it's a simple missed tackle that led to it all. All talk about strong Scottish defence undone after 5 minutes.

Feel like we've already thrown more offloads today than we have in the last year.

Very well worked, a lot of teams panic and drop the ball close to the line when it's more than 3/4 phases

Hogg kicking in behind is obviously a strategy, presumably the idea is forcing the back 3 to hold deeper and open up space?

These guys are lucky, they've got the only competent ref at the tournament out there.
He's already had the TMO check a tackle, on the fly
His communication with the teams is great as well setting out his stall early on.

God I wish Barnes could ref and England game....we have to pray for Owens (who's well part his prime), Garner and Peyper to be on good day.

Usually we end up with Garces and Poite....

Looked like Larmour tried to nutmeg the Scottish player with his whole body, then

Great defensive interplay from the centres.

Two turnovers for Ali already.

Almost seems like Scotland don't trust their forwards to carry in attack. Yes they have fantastic backs, but if the opposition know it's going to them then it becomes so much easier to defend.

Scotland look a bit like unsure now that they didn't get the first score.

Ireland doing a good job of showing how to crush a weaker team.

Scotland have been trying to give us the front and force us into touch.

Really backfired there.

Look England went 31-0 up against Scotland and completely capitulated, don't think Ireland will here
