RWC: Springboks - Samoa (30-09-2011, 20:30)

Didn't hear you call out when SBW took a dive.

I didnt call out here either to be fair. Heineken asked what the problem was and i told him.
I can't actually remember an SBW dive but i'll tell you right now i wouldn't be a fan of it. Not something i ever want to see in the game, it should be a yellow cardable offense at the worst end of the scale to prevent the nonsense that goes on in poofball.

Or Jimmy Cowan in the super 15! Had a huge smile afterwards... Now that's even worse! Like he knew he got away with it as well as SBW... You didn't see brussouw turn around laughing his ass off!

Yes but to be fair I think everyone here, including the NZ guys, thinks Jimmy Cowan is a twat.

Fair enough. I've been trying to have a look at the Williams-Brussow incident but can't anything. My initial reaction was that he went down to an open handed strike that caught him off guard as I think he was facing away from Williams but I'd like to have a look again. Agree that milking of any sort should get punished severely as there is already too much for referee's to focus on and we don't need the farce of soccer-style faking in our game.

I'm sorry uso, one good tackle does not a strong player make.

That said, it's an all or nothing situation for the boys. I'm still not too sure that Maposua is 100% but at least he'll be able to keep some semblance of structure within the midfield. I've seen some of Eliota's games and he's indecisive on defense and a bit risky on attack.

Is there any reason why we couldn't call on David Smith? I'm not too sure if this was raised earlier this year but if you want x-factor, he's got that in spades - just ask the Western Force.

Sincere apologies Sam Owen(not Nigel's lost bro lol)I plead insanity on count of the huge thread. I was actuallyreferring to a comment made by UilamOsa.

I think its a shame Eliota is retiring as I think he could hold the midfield together if Mapusua deservedly retires from internationals.

All goods uce, we all make mistakes, just like Nigel lol.

No way am I Nigels brother, he's the last guy I wanna see but I dont hate him. Hes just a referee, thats his job, Ive never seen a perfect referee for people to compare him to. I feel sorry for him because I know whats happening to him is wrong.

I understand Sapolus issues but us Samoans are people of the church and this carry on over a game or how were being treated is not the way of the church IMO. We suppose to be the good guys.

This is why some samoans get no where always church this an church that and gotta a be the humble guy. You gotta speak up for changes dont give me this crap that samoans a good natured people an a people of the peace an that they dont speak out. Samoan history is littered with warfare an men challenging for the thrown this is what samoan politics was all about you want power an changes you kill the man in power. The irb need to be told where to go. Good on eliota for speaking up.

Church is our religion for us Samoans, always has been since the missionaries brought it over, thats who we are. In Samoa everyone has to go to church on Sunday, most of us have family prayers in the evening, look on the Manu Samoa emblem and tell me what is on the apex of that emblem. Its not crap bro.

We know back at home we got more important issues to sort out. I understand what Sapolu is on about but theres ways to address it not..'HEY! IRB! WE LOST BECAUSE OF YOU, IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SPRINGBOKS, YOUS ARE ALWAYS MEAN TO US', I mean, cmon, really...it just sounds like a face palm moment. He should address his issues properly, more directly.

Good on Sapolu for addressing these issues. All teams should be treated fairly hence why it is important for SAPOLU to get all the support so that this problem does not appear in future rwc. Just imagine the rwc having more upsets how good would that be for the game.

By making fun of the referees sexuality and calling him a racist. Sorry but I'm getting sick and tired of cretins defending such an outburst.

Yes Samoa should be treated fairly, don't think anyone is denying this. But Sapolu was wrong in what he did. He is a coward and a disgrace to rugby. How people can defend him is beyond a joke.

Sapolu deserves no support from ANYONE - he may have had the right ideas about the IRBs policies, but the way he went about it was wrong, and then the way he's conducted himself over the SA match is nothing short of disgusting

I'm glad he's been banned, I don't want to see him in the Aviva prem anytime soon

If he had not made personal references it would have been more palatable.

Cymro. Please relax. Wales are in the Q-finals. Chills

My gosh, the IRB really are coming off looking like upper class toffs.

Hang on there sunshine.

I don't have to relax and it has nothing to do with Wales in the QF. What amuses me even more you have to bring something that has nothing to do with what we are talking about to the discussion.

Sorry if you agree with how Sapolu acted towards Nigel Owens then you are definitely a sandwich short of a full picnic. He's lucky Owens is not taking legal action for slander. The Sapolu is apparently meant to be a professional rugby player. All I have seen is a little kid in a professional rugby game who cannot handle the social media side of it correctly.

I don't think so - no more than they were already viewed as such.

However I, and I presume others too, have a bitter taste left in our mouths over Samoan fans due to the vocal minority and their treatment of Owens.

Yes sapolu was over the top with his comments towards the ref. However its about time someone stands up against the IRB and sort out the issue with schedule fairness etc. I support him in that respect.

TRF_Cymro - Sapolu a coward? He's actually been interviewed about his comments and is willing to give up his rugby career and stand by his comments. How is he a coward?

sapolu a coward? A coward dont do **** but stand in the corner and cry. Sapolu stood up for the rights of not just samoa but other teams. He was interviewed yesterday on both cambell live an close up, and came across as a very articulate smart and intelligent person. He may not have your support but your thousands of others do. Worst post on the internet.
Sapoulo or whatever his name is = Coward , defaming someone and posting death threats online is utter cowardice and the sooner all you "hard men" online understand that the better ....go **** yourself in other words.

Crowned, new worst post on the internet...

Lol.. it's definitely not cowardice. It takes a true man to stand up and go against the grain the way he has.. But the death threats[i haven't seen myself but keep hearing about them] are too much.
