Apparently Armitage is going to start instead of Cueto for this,

Not sure what's going on with Corbisieros and Stevens injuries but I think we'll see:

1. Corbisiero
2. Thompson
3. Cole
4. Lawes
5. Palmer
6. Wood
7. Moody (C)
8. Haskell
9. Youngs
10. Wilkinson
11. Armitage
12. Tindall
13. Tuilagi
14. Ashton
15. Foden

16. Hartley
17. Stevens (Wilson if injured)
18. Shaw
19. Croft or Waldrom
20. Wigglesworth
21. Flood
22. Cueto or Banahan (hopefully Cueto)

Would rather Wood at 7, Croft at 6 and Simpson on the bench, but I think that this is how Johnson will play it

Corbs ahead of Stevens?! I think Croft will start this one to be honest, and Wood on the bench for cover for both Moody and Croft. Def Cueto ahead of Banahan I shall kick myself in the head if Banahan is ahead of Cueto.

If Johnson is picking his best team every game from now on, I can't see why Wood would start instead of Croft. Also, I'm 50/50 as to whether Lawes will get his spot back straight away. Deacon might hang on based on the last game. Depends on performance in training I suppose.

Can Waldrom play 6 at all? I'm guessing he definitely can't play 7,

Stevens' injury was worse than Corbs' - also makes more impact off of the bench (I'm think what'll happen rather than what I want :p )

Waldrom is a straight up 8, I believe, can't ever recall him playing elsewhere

In that case the Leicesterfarian arsehole can send them home.

PS Wood is a 7. End of.

I tend to think any good 8 is interchangeable with 6. They both tend to do the same jobs.

Scotland team up, and with exception of dropping Rory Lamont from the 22 it's a bloomin good side!

Lamont/Ansbro in the centres especially

Oh so NOW Robinson gets around to playing Ansbro.... When it's all but too late.

A backline with four wingers.. I suppose this is this Andy Robinson's vaunted 'secret weapon' to score some tries. Ansboro isn't much good doesn't even start for his club. Don't think England will be overly concerned.

England should be, as an England-Scotland match is never normal/ordinary or boring. It always has something else, and that something drives the Scots to more than normal (which IMO is pathethic as they should do it every match same goes for Ireland/Wales). I'm expecting England to win though.

Four wingers?

Lamont is a good centre, probably the best Scotland have available - you must have missed the Six Nations....
Ansbro is also a class player, mad to think otherwise, has shown it for Saints and in his limited appearances for Scotland
Can't really bring up his lack of first team appearances considering Saints were notorious for having a 1st XV and not rotating it throughout the season - when he was given a chance he played well

I hope England don't go in thinking this match is already won as many fans seem to, Scotland always push us close - I expect it to be within a 10 points, if not within 7

England team announced and added to the first post

Easter and Banahan on the bench....I'd laugh if it wasn't so soul destroying

Palmer should be starting 'n' all

I have mixed feeling on this one. I want England to win but part of me hopes it is a tight game.

I don't want the Scots to be smashed and sent home under a cloud, but i think it might be the wake up call the SRFU needs to improve the game.

I think Scotland are clearly going for points but I think they have only scored 4 tries during the competition. This was not helped with two of there games in shocking weather. Contrasting the two of Englands that were inside.

The England 15 is not bad, I am interested to see how the Scots get on with Englands back three and to see Englands front row start putting in a big performance.

Auw!

How can he still put freakin useless, slow, lumbering Deacon in the starting 15 ahead of Palmer. (I was going to write another sentence on the other but then I realised this fits for all of them, Easter and ...... Bananaman) This better not be our best 22 in Johnsons mind...

Atleast the frontrow should dominate Scotland, to be honest IMO every aspect of our 15 should dominate Scotland. Really hoping Wilko has a big game, if he doesn't bring Flood on early and see what he does. We have a huge game after this, and we need our FH firing. Croft should also have something to prove imo, with Easter back in the frame I think in Johnsons mind he's ahead of Haskell at 8. So that would mean someone would have to leave seeing Haskell has to be on the field.

Stroker still starting, Rennie still on the bench. :(

Anyhoo, I can't see why we can't start with Rory Lamont and Paterson, have Ramont on in place of Danielli, and have him and Paterson switching, or even possibly occupying two fullback roles in defence.

I'll be putting all my vCash on us winning by more than 7, I don't expect us to, but damn those are some fine odds, all prior form goes out the window with this game.

COME ON SCOTLAND, DO US PROUD!

Cueto should be in the squad, probably in the XV (Armitage is more versatile coming off the bench). Haskell can cover 6/7 so understand the need for a spare 8 (though wish it was Waldrom). Palmer should be starting (don't understand why he lost his position to begin with), and Shaw on the bench (what could he have done to be dropped?!). Other than that, no real complaints.
