RWC: Canada - Japan (27-09-2011, 17:00)

Did Canada improve or did Tonga and japan get worse ??

So tonga has a good showing vs ABs. Canada and Japan had good showings against France, both games France had to play very well to win.

I'd say they're all improving and that the minnows in Pool A are the most competitive in comparison to the other Pools.

Big loss for Japan right there (the Center being hurt)

Oh wow, please be ok Pritchard. you've just had a little one.

Edit: Whew. That man has hands of steel. Looked so innocent but Pritchard was out.

Yes clearly Improved... Some more than others. But I don't think the minnows from Pool A are stronger than minnows from pool B. It'd be nice to see all of them in one competition with their full strength squads. I wonder who would win.
Canada.
Japan.
Tonga.
Georgia.
Romania.
USA.
Russia.
fiji.
That would be one helluva competition

The only teams that are as good as Canada, Japan, and Tonga are Georgia and Fiji.

Only Georgia and Canada have played in the last year in which Georgia won 22-15. Georgia was missing some of it's starters, Canada was missing some starters but a win is a win.
I do imagine Japan and Tonga have played Fiji but not in a position to look up scores.

Whoever has more possession will end up winning this game

Sounds about right but I think there would be more upsets in that competition than in this WC..

Damn this game is better than NZ vs France..

This is not a good performance from Canada. A lot of really bad, marginally forced errors. No nastiness on defence. Lineouts are terrible. I felt early in the game Canada attacked the Japanese backline well and hasn't gone back since.

Japan has played really well and looks really sharp. Japan seems like they want to win while Canada is really just not answering the challenge right now.

Be honest Fiji at Full strength would own all of the minnows

Japan are playing well, lucky that 13 got injured he was **** on D any way, good for a couple of line breaks but he's big and useless. Bryce Robins is carving up.

Yet they are ranked 16 and haven't had a good performance in the world cup except for a huge win over Namibia????? I think Fiji could be the better team but own? Ask France how much fun they had vs Japan and Canada. Or Scotland how they enjoyed narrowly beating Romania and Georgia.

Would you give any of them a shot against Wales? I don't think so!!! Fiji will put a little fear in Wales

Isa Nacewa, easily fiji's best player ain't here any way. Plus Caucau at 115kg would still make DTH his *****.
Rankings don't mean a thing when you hardly ever play with your strongest team

Plus Fiji is in the pool of death, Samoa and South Africa would easily dispose all of those minnows any way

Canada have the wind and the sun behind them in the second half ... and Mckenzie scores in the corner :D
