Honestly do you still believe this rubbish? (This is not aimed directly at this quote but all the SBW hating that is going on)

I reckon SBW would have to score 10 tries in the final, make 100 tackles in one game, cure cancer and aids at the same time, just to get a little bit of respect in some of your eye's.

SBW has had a very good world cup, he's proven that he belongs in this team.

He's got so much talent it's ridiculous.

He can step off both feet, he's quick, he's strong, he has an eye for a gap, he can do most things that a high quality all black can do, and somethings that only he can do.
He'd probably have the best long pass in the whole squad. He's not selfish, creates plenty of opportunities for others. He's a team player.
One rush of blood shouldn't be held against him, if any thing it's happened at the perfect time, he'll never do that in a big game ever again.

*The same goes with Quade Cooper, seems to be a theme, if you hate one of them you hate both. Quade Cooper is a great player, apart from the 1st 20mins yesterday, he was very good.

Someone was talking about Joubert not being able to be the ref for this match since he was already active in the semi's and there has never been a referee in the final who was also in the semi-final.

I have been thinking about this and checked it... In 1987, Kerry Fitzgerald was the referee in the final after he was the ref in the semi final between New Zealand and Wales

One thing I noticed is how France didn't seem to care about their semi final match as much as New Zealand did. Australia were garbage in their semi final match and yet the All Blacks couldn't manage even more than they did and looked like garbage themselves for much of the second half. In honesty, I fell asleep the first time watching it and had to watch a replay just a few hours ago to make sure I didn't miss anything important—what a waste of time that was. If France turn up with their heads on straight, they will likely lift their first world cup.

Some people have said Gear in for SBW on the bench, I'll be so happy if that's the case.

SBW is a very good player, but he's not an outside back and Ma'a Nonu should not replaced.

Gear plays the kind of game that is always effective against NH teams. Him off the bench would be brilliant. The other thing is that SBW can wear his RWC medal with pride, he's been involved in important games. Hosea Gear hasn't had the oppertunities he'd have hoped for, and I think he's one players who's truly earned a spot. The fact that he's resigned for this year, thinking he wouldn't be in a RWC, and SBW hasn't yet resigned knowing he was in the RWC, says a heck of a lot about Gears character, being in his prime.
