I was waiting for someone to update this... and there it is:

World Rugby Ranking Leaders
Yawn

I found this image interesting.

I guess through home advantage Japan have a slight chance of going further than Scotland.
Australia have a the widest chance, so could go from shocking to amazing or anywhere in between.
England are suggested as being the likeliest to win their pool, though Ireland up there as well.
USA and Tonga almost identical.
Italy are basically 3rd in there pool with a slight chance of coming 4th and that's it.

Interesting, but obviously sport doesn't follow percentages.

Thanks for the feedback! All the things you mentioned are true and relevant, which is a good sign the chart isn't too misleading.

In terms of winning their pool: England 93%, Ireland 81%, Wales 80%, New Zealand 63%.

I'm going for Ireland to win it, but want the Bokke to come through and lift the WE trophy. I know they've got no depth, but I think they'll pull through. Just anyone but the AB's or England...we won't hear the end of it should England win it.

Bleacher report has South Africa winning, with the sweet revenge angle.
Rugbypass.com has Ireland winning
Ruck.co.uk has a poll with N.Z. winning.

Can we please have a poll ? The results would be intriguing.
Start a thread then. Who will win poll. Make sure the thread is just the poll and ref this thread for discussion. Unless an admin can add one to this thread.

If anyone but New Zealand wins, we'll never hear the end of it. Until 2023 at least. If New Zealand wins, we'll never hear of rugby union again.

If Wales or Ireland win, (or France, Argentina, Scotland, Japan etc.), we'll never hear the end of it AND that will be a good thing for the game.

If Australia had won the extra time in the 2003 final, and only NZ, Aus, SA had ***les, RWC 2019 would seem that much less interesting

If a ref costs the Scots a place in the quarters or semis, we'll never hear the end of it :D

Sorry can't stop myself from laughing.....

You honestly think if Ireland or Wales win it we'll never not hear about it?

Srsly, it would never be mentioned again... we'd just give up rugby and quietly be forever champs

That's an awful lot of players to have poached from China! And strange to not take a full squad. Are they worried about travel costs?

Luckily, the real squad selection was more sensible: :p

I mean there are still a lot of poached players in there, but mostly from South Africa and Australia. I'm surprised they got ピーター・("Lappies")・ラブスカフニ Japanese qualified already.
It's a good team and they'll go a long way. The match against South Africa is sold out already, the fans are expecting big things! Semifinal at least! :p

Apart from 木津 悠輔, 中島 イシレリ and アタアタ・モエアキオラ they are all Sunwolves. (2019 or 2018). That fact is a bit discouraging...
