I once made the mistake of parking in the car park next to Lincoln city council offices. Had to wait for three hours to get back to my car after a bomb scare at the council.

The Black Plague (or Black Death) was not a virus; it was a severe bacterial infection caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis, spread primarily by fleas on rodents, though it could also jump person-to-person through respiratory droplets, leading to different forms like bubonic and pneumonic plague.Back in the 80s I was working at a stockbrokers in Holborn when they uncovered and opened a plague pit across at a construction site across the road.
It was a bit concerning when all these blokes suddenly turned up in full hazmat gear outside the front door.
Apparently they still found evidence of the black death virus.
