Rugby World Cup 2011 Official Game

Has anyone noticed the wrist tape from the screen shots??? It looks like these guys are playing Tennis or something lol, the strapping looks like sweat bands! :p

I'm sure a lot of Rome was built in four years though... I have a feeling that both ***les will be a big disappointment. It would be very beneficial to the high-paying customers if demos were released prior to the release of the full game in late August. At least then we could decide which game is worth while. It seems like it will come down to game play (RWC2011) vs. variety and longevity (RC). In previous releases, sidhe's game play has been sub-par. It will be a shame if both ***les released are a disappointment as it may actually convince the world that rugby is not a "great game". That breaks my heart as I live and breathe the sport!

will the game be released in the USA?

Let's have some thought about this question... the USA has what, 300,000,000+ yes?
If you think really hard I'm sure the answer is already somewhere hovering around in your mind...

As it's being released in Canada which has a population of 30,000,000, you could go the math route
and try and find the answer that way as well perhaps.

Bought some PS3 games when i was in Hong Kong and they worked fine

Important to remember that the games are region free but the DLC is region locked to the game. If you buy a game from the UK for instance you will have to buy all DLC from the UK PSN store.

I missed something?

I'm sorry, I just have to say, this is bullshit. Only 20 international teams in a rugby video game is ridiculous. The best thing about Rugby 08 was the World League and that was the only thing that compensated for the fact that the game itself was clearly rushed and incredibly inaccurate. After waiting four years you would think that this time they would be better prepared. Someone posted here that it was great that there were two developers now invested in rugby. This is clearly not the case as all the problems seem to stem from the battle for licenses. As a Connacht supporter I have never played as my club in a rugby video game and I was very hopeful that this time I would have that pleasure, particularly with the fact that we are in the Heineken Cup this year. However, it now looks like my only hope lies with Rugby Challenge, even though they have yet to secure that license, but one would expect them to, considering that this ***le has abandoned the club game. I'm sorry, but waiting four years for more disappointment is bullshit.

I agree with this as I thought it would be like the FIFA vs PES of the Rugby games but when you see that Rugby Challenge will have 90+ teams in it( international and club teams and licenced leagues) and Rugby World Cup will only have 20 international teams in it. It clearly shows that Sidhe(makers of Rugby Challenge) have done their homework and HB Studios,505 games(makers of rwc2011) have not.

You can't have a rugby game without club teams FULL STOP. It obviously shows that Sidhe( makers of Rugby Challenge) have done their homework and HB Studios, 505 Games(makers of RWC2011) have not and although I am happy that there is two games coming out, I thought there would be of similar standard.

There are a lot of cretins lately releasing info before clearance. Why are people so bloody stupid though, if someone says don't release it till we say, you don't just do it. Muppets!!!

Anyways, can't wait to see some more stuff, official or unofficial :D :D
