Hi Dave, I might be wrong, but I think you may have misunderstood my question. I just wondered whether the skill and physical attributes between backs and forwards are going to be as radically different (based on what is seen in the trailer), given that in real life, there are plenty of big, strong, backs and plenty of mobile, skillful forwards in the modern game. Secondly, if this gap were to be narrowed in the game, what effect would this have on matches? Would it unbalance them in any way if backs had a bit more strength etc, whilst forwards (e.g. loose forwards) had better tackle technique, speed, stamina etc. Sadly I don't think I would have the time to improve the back attributes for every forward and the forward attributes for every back!
Anyway, this aside, the game looks like it will have me gripped for many hours over Christmas!
Hi Andrev,
You need extremes of attributes between positions, to make a real game of it. And all attributes are relative
to an average rugby player, not to a man in the street. So if a player has a strength value of 10, you're not saying
he is really weak, you're just saying a player with a strength attribute of 90 is much stronger. Also remember, you
have players right from amateur to world class using the same attribute scale, which means you must polarise the
general values of attributes to attain the desired strength of squad, for the given calibre.
I hope this is helpful.
Kind Regards
Dave

I haven't played the previous game but I'm looking forward to this years rendition. I'd like to know is it possible to play someone in a position that is not listed on their player profile? E.G. Vunipola or Faletau as a blindside?
Again didn't play the previous game so dont know if this was plausible in Rutm 2015.
Hi Holmesy,
You can play any player in any position, apart from the specialist front row positions. Player playing in their primary
position will play as best they can. Players playing in their secondary position will receive minor negative bonuses
during play. Players playing out of both their primary and secondary positions will receive major negative bonuses
during play. Both primary and secondary positions can be retrained to a different position within reason, for eg. you
cannot retrain a scrum half to be a tight head prop.
I hope this is of help.
Kind Regards
Dave
