Please implement custom soundtracks on the PS3. Fifa and Fight Night drive me crazy with their "music". If there are some bands that absolutely must be promoted, then make it that custom soundtracks comes up as an option after playing the game for 15 hours or something as an unlockable.
NHL 10 has fully customizable soundtrack right from the very beginning and also has a full soundtrack. It makes the game funner to play in my opinion as you can choose what song plays when i.e when a goal is scored.

This would be hilarious if you could choose what song plays when a try is scored... I can see it now... NZ Rugby gamers will do this:-
When the AB's score it will be either,
1. The Herbs - Slice Of Heaven.

More often than not producers are able to assist developers with development funds, promotion costs, packaging, certification and distribution. In this case we are not 100% sure of what HB are planning, but we can be sure that they would have well and truly thought this through. I'm sure they know what they are doing.
My only reason for not saying custom soundtracks from the start is that sometimes there are deals with artists that enable games to have their music. Sometimes these artists (or their labels) are not happy supplying music for reasonable rates, only to have it switched off right from the start. In some games the music is seen by the development team or producers as an integral part of the front end or in-game experience and they want it kept there.
In sports ***les, EA have been slow to move to custom soundtracks, maybe for reasons that we aren't in the loop about. Microsoft might have had an interest in there somewhere.
My suggestion enabled them to get several hours of the music into us, before we are presented with the custom soundtracks, thus hopefully keeping everyone happy. All just a suggestion though.
We'll see what they have to say, when an opportunity arises.

It does make more sense from a promotional point of view to delay the ability of a custom soundtrack, however, I much prefer Jay-Z to Finnish bands.

The best bet would be up-and-coming athletes, exciting young players. The idea of the next generation of rugby promoting the next generation of gaming.
We cant really know who would be the best options therefore because its too far away from the release date.
If i was choosing the cover athlete for a release tomorrow, i think id go with Rene Ranger or Israel Dagg for the NZ version.

08s was McCaw and Cueto for UK i think,
I imagine O'Driscoll to be involved in, at the very least, the Ireland cover.

People need to be realistic, I highly doubt there will be 10 different covers, at the most 2 different covers. It all comes down to budgeting again and how much money are you going to allocate to get all different types of players for the cover.

Well, Rugby 08 had 7 different covers... But since EA aren't onboard, they may not have as much funding...

I would say for the NZ version, it will be either McCaw or Carter again... But I'm guessing it could even be Nonu this time...

What are the chances of those guys sticking around in NZ after the world cup? very very slim. The cover athlete for NZ has to be a current all black, it doesn't make sense not to.
Also, How expensive would Dan Carter and those guys be? too expensive. All three have already been on the cover too. Nonu was 2004.
I wouldn't know the price, but hopefully the IRB joins with HB studios for the next game, all the their licensing woes would go away.

I think the game needs mainly 2 things
- Be A Pro
and
- Online Play
The 2nd 1 is a must! the 1st would be so awsome to have in the game aswell! Would be orgasmic! haha
As well as different kicking styles on create a player, cause in the past with games you always had to have the same lame style over and over again.
Got a bit boring after a while you know.
