Australia's better than South Africa, although they are very close. Firstly, we beat them in the Tri Nations, and in the first half of the match at Bloemfontein australia dominated south africa. Although Australia are inconsistent and can't perform well in the second half, South Africa caught up with penalty goals and not so much try scoring (or at least they scored less tries)

Agreed, the most current IRB Ratings would be great. In Rugby 08 a player can choose a team and all matches played with that team are recorded when saved. The rating does not increase but the teams gelling (can't think of the word used) does increase or decrease accordingly. Selecting better players or combinations should also improve the rating!
New Zealand are by far the best team for now, but once Peter De Villiers opens his eyes and realize the potential we have, we would beat them by far..
With the right selection, there is no team that can beat the Springboks.
2012 is still a far way to go..
Ya. everyone has to begin at some point hey!!
I'm as passionate about rugby as any one in here, maybe more.. My rep might not show that now, but I would like to think as it as just a matter of time, especially as I joined, uhm, about 20Minutes ago

Team Ratings should change depending on which players are selected in the 22 man squad...An all black team without Carter, McCaw and Weepu would have to lower than a full strength Springbok side, and Vice Versa.
A Springbok team without Carter, McCaw and Weepu would be weaker than an All Blacks side?
