Rugby '15 announced

It seems strange that we have still not heard any more news on this game considering it's already e3 and supposed to be ready pretty soon!!

Makes me wonder if it's not on schedule or something

I do believe its more to do with its popularity. Hb studios/Bigben have stated what booth number they are etc and have said they'll be showcasing the game. We are waiting for someone that writes articles online has gone their way and written something.

They'll probably announce stuff after it though, gives those that attended e3 a little more exclusivity i guess.

In addition, like others have suggested it'll probably be a french/Australian or kiwi journalist that'll post something. Also just keep an eye out on twitter. Something will probably break there first

The best way to drum up interest seems to be them not releasing any info? I don't get why there is no publicity on this at all apart from the initial announcement!

Nothing from e3

They're there with the game, it's just, as TVH stated, a case of waiting for someone to approach them. The show runs until Friday. I reckon if anything, Rugby 15 wil be something of personal rather than professional interest for journalists who are attempting to break exclusives and provide reception on the bigger releases (Your Halos and your Marios) before in the later days of the show being able to begin to write instead about games of lesser commercial value, beyond this very specific audience gathered on this forum.

Guys go to YouTube and search thescottishcannon rugby and go on his channel. He has posted video about game- apparently they have said they will reveal confirmation of licenses for other leagues! I can not post a link as I am on iPad don't know how to

Pro12 officially announced, but as RaboDirect, the logo is probably a place holder until a new one is provided. Sadly this game is shaping up to be a northern hemisphere exclusive.

They went too EA with the logo, enlarging the already damaging myth.

Wow I've been scrolling through E3 news for the last hour looking for any new info. Wasn't expecting that! Other than anything to do with affordability/budgets, I can't see why HB wouldn't be able to acquire virtually all the licenses now? ..I mean what would the RC guys do with NZ and Aus licenses alone?? (It's possible that this theory is also completely miles off!)

It's an issue between Bigben and Tru Blu, that is if we assume Tru Blu still holds those licences, and that they are exclusive. If they don't or if it's not exclusive, then is up to Bigben to negotiate directly with the competition promoters, and if they do then they can work something out. The only things we assume Tru Blu still has is the license for New Zealand, Australia and their Super Rugby teams, the Lions and the Barbarians, and maybe some stadiums. Worst case scenario is not that unplayable, assuming once again, that they include unlicensed sides that we can edit or mod.

well that's a nice little surprise :D Kind of agree on logo, very "EA" but heck whatever.

E3 is 10-12 June online. So I think tomorrow/Friday we might get some more concrete info maybe?? Journalists will have had time to reflect on the "big budget releases" and then get to the more niche stuff (respectively).

Looking forward to seeing if there will be a leap in graphical and animation quality.

So basically there's bugger all Southern Hemisphere content then?

Do you think it's safe to assume that they still hold all the international licenses from RWC 2011?

Opposite to Rugby Challenge then :p yeah it had the Nh leagues, horrifically inaccurate though!
Nah hopefully it has both in the end, do want a complete game! Maybe Sidhe haven't released those licenses due to planned games?

Nothing is safe until they confirm or deny, but yes, there isn't and hasn't been another company contesting those licenses, they're probably free and negotiating or they would've been announced with the initial release. Rugby is already too small to focus only on the north, they know that and probably would agree with us it would be a failure not to include any southern content either licensed or not.

For those who don't follow the Sidhe forums, they confirmed they're out of the business, but hinted that Tru Blu is planning something, it's impossible to say what exactly or to what extent it concerns us.

I've always been quite sceptical in the build up to the previous releases but I'm feeling pretty positive about this one. The fact that they have secured Aviva Prem, Pro 12 and the French leagues tells me there will be no competitor game. And for that reason I'm hoping they will be successful in negotiating a very full list of licenses.

I read somewhere that RC may have lost the French licenses, but to obtain the prem and pro 12.. They're bound to have gone after the NZ and Aus right?

Sidhe recently confirmed they have no plans to continue making rugby games at this stage.
