Rugby '15 announced

what is up with the ball just floating in the air like that at the end??? To kick a ball off a tee and have it it float paralel to the ground is impossible. The animation for the place kicks does look a lot better than the "i dnt give a ****e" animation from past games though. Apart from that no ones fooling me that this is a next gen game

How is it possible that the same studio makes each new installment worse than the previous one... I really hope this isn't true though, but whatever's going in that trailer looks LAZY, end of. They have 4 months to do a gargantuan amount of polish if they want me to believe that rugby 15 is a next gen ***le.

I think the gameplay looks really good. Smooth kicking animations. Graphics r poor but if they r improved we could have a great rugby game. Hb studios can clearly make graphics looking at their other game the golf club

Video looks horrendous.

Only talking point for me is that the French leagues say "Exclusive" underneath and the Aviva doesn't....
No doubt HB would've asked for exclusive rights, so does this mean there may be another game in the pipeline somewhere and Aviva have been approached? Otherwise why wouldn't they have given HB exclusivity?

I would be happy with any improvement on rwc2011. its by no means an amazing game, but still fairly enjoyable and any rugby game will do, as long as its not a step backwards.

hi all by the way, been keeping an eye on this thread for a while, as you lot seem to be collating and presenting the information way better than the game makers!

How can they say they rewrote the game from scratch and then show us the same crap we've always seen from them? It looks and feels as the same games we've played before, at this point I can't think of any excuses for no online and no career. And this better be cheap.

Sidhe's contract may have been longer than the eighteen months that shall have passed since the release of Rugby Challenge 2, meaning they still technically have the rights. I don't know, but that's the most likely scenario I can think of. I'd suggest the new Rugby Manager game, but the French leagues are in that too.

The animations are horrible and almost robotic, at least RC had mo cap animations so it looked real! The game had potential but has failed IMO, staying well away from this

I see now why the marketing was so terrible...they didn't want to try and polish a turd! Graphically this game looks horrendous - I wouldn't be surprised if my PS4 refused to run it out of sheer embarrassment! This game will only be saved if the gameplay is incredible (which I highly doubt). What is the point in building games from the ground up when the game looks no better, if not worse? Gameplay on 08 wasn't far off being great (harder AI, less ball following, better breakdown mechanics). All they had to do was tidy that up a bit and focus on producing outstanding graphics and accurate rosters.

I am sad to say I have been put off this game by that 20 seconds of gameplay. HB Studios know that there are a core of rugby game fans like ourselves that will buy any rugby game released. This paired with no apparent competitor in the market has, in my opinion, led to them getting to a point and saying 'that's not too bad, let's release it, get some sales, gauge the market then invest and improve upon it later' which doesn't sit well with me when no doubt we will be expected to pay between £44.99-£54.99 for it. Surely a studio that has created The Golf Club (which clearly looks next-gen) cannot be happy with what they have produced here? Yes, there are business decisions to make, and it would be foolish to plough millions and millions creating the best sports game anyone has every seen only for it to fail, but I think a little more respect could have been shown to the people that are going to buy the game by providing graphics that could actually pass as next-gen.

Ok rant over. For once, I will not be ordering a rugby game to arrive on the day of release, instead I shall wait and see what you lads that do buy it think (you can be my guinea pigs). I am praying that the gameplay renders this game an endless classic but forgive me for my scepticism on the likelihood of this outcome.

Awful visual news. Lost for words. Shame on you HB studios.

Not even sure I'd pay 40 odd quid if it come with the phone to play it on...

Looks terrible and clunky. My only hope is that the trailer was made using footage captured from a beta version and that there will be big gameplay improvements at least.

Not much hope though.
