Rugby '15 announced

This is supposedly a next gen ***le, yet the graphics look the same as 08, which came out 7 years ago and two consoles ago.


Hell, ios/android games look pretty similar to this garbage

Never mind the two wings with the scrum half involved in the ruck and the number eight using a box kick. If you just want a career mode then play Pro Rugby Manager, this game is supposed to be a simulation ***le.
 
Liveries are jerseys, banners, balls, flags, posts, basically any piece of the rugby atmosphere that is branded.

Never liked manager games, can't get into them. Manager modes in proper sim games are more my thing. I did notice that, but I'm not jumping to any conclusions just yet, no point. Any number of things could account for those players being in the ruck, so I'm just gonna wait for gameplay before shooting it down. Especially as these screenshots are probably from a game still in alpha build at most.
 
This is why screenshots are carefully curated, you have to look for every little detail because the gamers are going to look at them. This is a very very bad screenshot to release. I really hope they can turn this around and surprise me.

Agree with whats been said regarding graphics to come at the end. Core gameplay is important imo. I hope they've evolved from rugby 06/wc11 (nothing wrong with it, but nothing really changed between the 5 years between those ***les- even animations were extremely similar). I guess a lot of people might be expecting too much.

Saying that they aren't awful! Just a little blocky.

Announcing on Ps4/One might have made us all jump the gun with regards to graphics?? Ah well, enough rambling
 
In this case the abuse is more than justified.
There was a huge ****storm over the last game, which was clearly just a cash grab for the 2011 RWC - they've had four years to make this game, have much much more powerful systems to run it off, apparently have built it from the ground up and it looks like a PS2 game.
 
Seeing this almost makes me more optimistic about the core gameplay that we'll get. When Sidhe focussed on graphics and presentation, the gameplay let them down MAJORLY, although aesthetically it was very good, so I think, looking at this, they may have spent more time perfecting the core of the game. I don't think we can make a proper judgement until we see gameplay, I'm sure everyone will forgive the graphics if we have solid AI, anyway, they might improve the graphics from now, it is still in development remember!
 
What kind of core of the game and gameplay ends up with a curated screenshot with the two wings and the scrum half involved in the ruck with the number eight using a box kick?
When they say polish the graphics they mean player faces, updated jerseys and so on, I doubt they mean lighting, after effects and all that. You don't release a screenshot without the graphics engine.
 
9 has obviously been involved in the tackle, not sure why no8 is kicking but remember, "Work in Progress"!..
 
No sir, the position of the players suggests that the scrum half pilfered that ball with the help of the wings, and then the box kick to a team standing deep. Why did they choose this screenshot? It has so many flaws all over the place.
 
Yes, involved in the tackle... But it isn't looking good for the game itself, might stick to RC2 and PRM 15
