Ok, I got the new roster allright but the game crashes every time I try to play it. I will remove your roster and see how it goes.

Also, my 2 cents: some players are not listed at the right position when looking at the country4s player pool. for example Picamoles is an #8 when playing Montpellier but when I want to put him in the french squad he's listed as a hooker.

apart from that, great effort :bravo:[/b]

I think the problem is that you maybe have the MUP or Top14 patch installed. My roster only works with the default game settings.

Cheers
Ross

Exactly. I removed your roster and it worked fine. If that can be sais for such a bad-programed game...Sometimes it's so illogic it makes me cringe... <_<

Charles I think you must then try to play Fa'atau82 roster if you want to play with teams such as Montpellier and so on...Sorry but my roster only works with the default teams.

UPDATE:

Only need to update the French club sides and All Stars squads then I will release my next update ;)

Cheers
Ross

well done man, when updating so many teams it can get so tiring especially doing in a time spaced limit for the community and not just your face wastes alot of time so congrats.

I have also started and am now done updating the NZ squads for the 2009 Super 14

Here is a preview of the Blues:

bluesvi9.jpg

I have created a Place Holder "player" which is just there to fill in the empty spots in the squads seeing as the NZ squads only have 28 players, this "player" is completely useless and has a 0 rating. This Place Holder "player" can always be replaced later with another player as the season progresses and new players get call-ups.

All Stars teams are now updated so only the French clubs are left for me to update.

Cheers
Ross

EDIT:

33 downloads and not any feedback???

Please people any feedback would be appreciated

Its pretty spot on mate have to say! Though i saw something weird with a certain Argentina player, he's a scrum half Aguella or something, never heard of him before but he seems to have a star over his head?

good job but i thought anthony boric should be as a starting second row with ali williams. plus i think tuitavake should play right wing with wulf on the bench or wulf at left wing with rokocoko on the right wing. the blues tend to change their team a lot as sometimes tuitavake is in centre with stanley and toeava is at fullback with wulf and rokocoko on the wings. thanks good job m8. well done :bravo:

Thanks, I just put these NZ teams together out of my thumb so normal starting players could be on the bench and vica versa...

While I appreciate that this has taken quite a lot of work, I have to say Im a bit disappointed having looked at a few teams.

Looking at Wales,

Lee Byrne is underrated at 82 - particularly since you have given Halfpenny 84. For a start, Byrne deserves a much higher kicking and kicking power ability - plus Goal Kicking should be around 50, not 14. Byrne is known as one of Wales best players after very strong Autumn International and 6 Nation campaigns this year.
Mike Phillips (Only 78), Andrew Bishop (Only 72) and Andy Powell (Only 76) are also noticeably underrated.
Ducan Jones > Duncan Jones
You have Nathan Brew included twice

I dont completely agree with your Wales squad either. Based on recent squads and taking into consideration that some players missed the Autumn internationals through injury. To save listing out a full squad of 30 Ill just say who should be in there, and who they should replace.
Should be in: Huw Bennett (HK), Mike Phillips (SH), Gavin Henson (CT)
Should be out: T Rhys Thomas (HK), T James (WG), B. Davies (FB)

Then theres the Ospreys - the 15 youve picked contains only 9 players of whom would be classed as the first choice team if all were available. Shane Williams youve put on the bench, while the clubs captain Ryan Jones doesnt even make that!!! Gavin Henson, Huw Bennett, Duncan Jones and Mike Phillips are also not even in the main 22, when they should be in the starting 15. In the squad itself, Kiwi Jamie Nutbrown should replace Aled Brew. Nutbrown is the Ospreys' 2nd choice Scrumhalf behind Phillips, while Aled Brew is a Cardiff Blues player. And at 79, Tommy Bowe is underrated

You might say that these things are easily changeable - but if youve made such mistakes in Wales and Ospreys, it doesnt leave me with much confidence that the other teams are put together well either.

Hold up in Rosses defence alot of those players you mentioned have been injured for the past while during the creation of the roster so thats why they arent starting. Sure most of them are in the squad anyway are you that lazy that you cant switch some around?

Well sorry for being human!I updated the Welsh squad for the Autumn internationals where players like Mike Phillips and Gavin Henson were injured or not picked...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div>
The starting line-ups I edited to my own personal feel and to current real line-ups,
you can always edit the line-ups yourself with Woosaah's Rugasmic 08 Editor or ingame.[/b]

As for the underrated players I did say that you should tell me about any abbilities of players that I should update as its impossible for me to know every player in the world strenght and weaknesses

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div>
Please let me know if you feel that I must update any player's stats like goalkicking, rucking ect.. and also what face will suite a player the best if you know.[/b]

and thats why I ask for feedback so that I know what to change or update for my next release, so thanks for the feedback :)

Theyre not injured in game are they though? Surely club team rosters should be picked on the basis of who the coaches would pick if the full squad is available? You cant keep making new versions of rosters each time a player gets injured!

Like I said in my post - or where you too lazy to read all of it? ;) Yes theyre easily changeable, but I only know to change them because I have an interest in those teams. Seeing the mistakes in Wales and Ospreys does not give me confidence that starting lineups for clubs I know very little about will be accurate.

Sorry if I came across a bit too aggressive. I guess it just comes down to personal opinion on Squads. I prefer to play with the more full strength teams - so would look at who has played for International teams in the past year, or who is on a club teams roster at the start of the season - but i guess others prefer to play with those who played in the very latest couple of matches or latest series.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div>

I did a little with Byrne but ultimately Im no huge expert on the specific strengths of each player - even the Welsh ones - so I admire you in that sense, because it cannot be easy. If it were me, Id just change all the stats until it came up with the overall rating that i feel to be right :p

Finally - Ospreys' Ed Shervington. I think I saw that he is in there with Prop as his primary position and Hooker as secondary - infact, it is the other way round. He almost always plays in the Hooker position.

I don't think you should complain mate, New Zealand is considerably better than Wales and we have plenty of 70 ratings in our team on this roster, so hey - think you should just let it slide yeah? :)

Ross wanted feedback, thats my feedback. ;) If he only gets positive feedback, its then harder to make the roster update even better.

You say New Zealand are considerably better than Wales, others would disagree - but I just looked at the Wales players compared to each other since I have a better idea of who is better than who that way. Like the example I used already - Byrne is better than Halfpenny, so if Halfpenny has 84, Byrne should be higher than that (and Halfpenny lower).
