good news for navodari and iasi. how about galati has club said it will come up as well?

- - - Updated - - -

also i seen on csm coach facebook that already csm telling him to leave and give flat up and car its bit disrespectful i feel but already seems it is getting very messy which is shame.

No news from Galati, I don't think they have the resources and infrastructure to promote. Maybe another second division club with better resources (such as Stejarul Buzau) could be invited instead.

The situation at CSM continues to suck but the coach is a stubborn and determined guy who won't give up. He actually wants to continue his work at the club, despite all the problems.

its fair good luck to him. and players which sure now be sorting out other clubs as persume they will not be welcome back?

I don't really like Dannie de Villiers stance, his contract will finish at 31st December and CSM want an extension so I think that requests to relief apartment and car may be grounded.

Situation at CSM will continue to suck as long as the interim director of club will be there...unfortunately. Luckily at the start of next Superliga he will be most likely history.

As far as I know, De Villers has not been paid since April so I think his stance is justified. Despite not being paid, the coach did his job and finished 3rd in the league. If they want him to leave, the club should pay his restant wages first. If not, they should talk to his lawyer.

Edit: a new director was named at CSM today, he used to lead the handball section. Let's see if this will be good for the rugby club and if the new director will pay the restant wages.

Payment of contract is another issue and I fully agree with you, leave it to the lawyers on this. But with the requests he posted on internet I cannot agree, as a lawyer I wouldn't advise him to do this.

What requests? I only saw that someone from the club asked him to return the car and vacate the apartment.

Anyway, here are the highlights from Timisoara Saracens vs Rovigo 45-13:

As usual, the highlights posted by Timisoara don't include the opposition tries, which I think it's both dumb and disrespectful.

Well if contract is finished don't you think this is normal to give back the car and apartment? I think both deserve each other, de Villiers and ex-director of the club.

I don't know, I'm not a lawyer :) You know better for sure.

The FRR has posted an add on their website to recruit a coach for the junior national teams. Finally the juniors will have a dedicated coach, one of the causes for the poor results at youth level is that the squads were led by club coaches appointed on short-term contracts. Those club coaches always favoured players from their own clubs, forcing them into the national squads. I really hope that a foreigner will win this position.

In other news, the match Saracens Timisoara vs Fiamme Oro on Saturday is listed on Digi Sport 1's schedule, so it's official that it will be broadcasted.

Amen to that!
I heard a rumour that Apjok will get the job...

Tomorrow from 12.30 local time, live on Digi Sport1, Timisoara play their last match of the year against Fiamme Oro Rome in the qualifiers for the Challenge Cup.
Match squad:
1. Gigi Militaru
2. Andrei Radoi
3. Alex Tarus
4. Dorin Lazar
5. Marian Drenceanu
6. Randall Morrisson
7. Vasile Rus (c)
8. Daniel Ianus
9. Valentin Calafeteanu
10. Jack Umaga
11. Vlad Zaharia
12. Paula Kinikinilau
13. Tevita Manumua
14. Madalin Lemnaru
15. Stephen Shennan

Subs: Eugen Capatana, Sione Taupaki, Samuel Maris, Ionut Muresan, Marian Gorcioaia, Jody Rose, Brian Sefanaia, Tangimana Fonovai

Many important absents for Timisoara: Manasa Saulo (still suspended), captain Stelian Burcea, Valentin Popirlan. Jody Rose and Tangimana Fonovai are not fully recovered and will start on the bench. This allows young winger Zaharia to start.

Timisoara Saracens - Fiamme Oro Rome 35-14
A messy match but another easy bonus point win for Timisoara who are now qualified for the final playoffs regardless of the result of their last match in the group. Timisoara have only lost one match this year, against Steaua Bucharest.
Tries: Kinikinilau, Rus, Fonovai, Sefanaia

More players are leaving CSM Bucharest:
- scrum half Florin Surugiu has signed a 6-months contract with Italian club Calvisano
- veteran Onal Agiacai retired as a player and was named head coach at junior club Cleopatra Constanta

They already got fullback Catalin Fercu last year. Lock Valentin Popirlan also played once for the Saracens in the friendly match against the Blue Bulls. I guess they could poach any player they wanted, as an offer from the Saracens can't really be refused :)

Lately players from Timisoara have also signed for other Western clubs though, such as Manasa Saulo going to Toulon or Andrei Mahu to Zebre.

not good news for csm. who else is leaving dont see sola staying or other foreigners? as for fercu very good player talented but i feel he wasted at sarries not playing in 2nd team normally could get loan out to championship side or even national one side. seems to me he can do lot better i no sarries good club players big base only seen him once last season in 1st team seems he can do lot better:)

Timisoara Saracens - Fiamme Oro Roma 35-14 highlights (as usual, only Timisoara's tries are included). Some ridiculous tackle attempts at the first try:

I don't know what will happen at CSM, I saw Sola and Cobden did go to the end of the year festivities at the club with some of the Romanian players, so I guess they could stay if the club will not withdraw from the league.

Btw, there is a Saracens player on loan at Timisoara and he was a starter in both the matches against the Italians, Tongan centre Tevita Manumua. He played for the Saracens second team last season and I guess they sent him to Timisoara in order to get some first team experience.

In other news, Attila Septar scored a try for Brive in the Challenge Cup. He's a 20-year old centre, a critical position for Romania and he could be a great addition if he accepts to play for the Oaks. A bunch of other foreigners become eligible for Romania in January, among them Stephen Shennan and Tangimana Fonovai, these are talented backs who could have a significant impact if selected.

Romania will play against Japan and Fiji in November 2016, the third opponent is not known yet.

According to a rumour, the Oaks will travel to Argentina in June for a test against the Pumas, which would be Romania's first match against a Tier 1 nation outside the RWCs in 10 years.

It would be quite strange not to award to Romania a Tier 1 test and award them to Tonga, Canada and Samoa (to a lesser extent) teams that underperformed during RWC.

Do you really expect World Rugby to treat Romania fairly? We won against Canada at the RWC for example yet they already have two confirmed Tier 1 tests for 2016 (or 3 if you consider their match against Argentina in the American 6N), while we only have rumours about playing the Pumas (and it still might be a weakened Argentina team, like the one that played against Georgia a few years ago).

But even one Tier 1 test in June and strong Tier 2 opponents in November (Japan and Fiji are the strongest possible) would be a huge step forward. I've heard that the Maori All Blacks might visit Romania and Georgia in November, that would be awesome and basically an unofficial Tier 1 match (I think the Maoris are stronger than some of the Tier 1 nations).
